Job Description: Perkins Coie is seeking a qualified, dynamic individual to take on the role of the Senior Manager of Lateral Partner Recruitment. This individual is responsible for sourcing and recruiting lateral partners primarily into the East Coast and Chicago offices, consistent with the firm's lateral hiring priorities and growth strategy. This individual will manage a Lateral Partner Recruiting Coordinator and report to the Senior Director of Strategic Lateral Partner Recruiting and Integration. They will also regularly work with other members of the Strategic Growth team, including a Manager of Strategic Lateral Growth, Lateral Partner Recruiting Coordinator, and Director of Growth & Analytics, to conduct market research and obtain competitive market intelligence. They will likewise both develop and deepen relationships with headhunters, counterparts in other firms and industries, trade groups, and others, frequently communicating hiring priorities to identify desirable candidates. The Senior Manager will also collaborate with office leadership to ensure that the growth strategy is effectively implemented and remains in alignment with the practice group objectives. They will frequently be responsible for drafting formal business memos that justify the business rationales for each lateral hire. This role requires the ability to work evenings and weekends as business needs demand. EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE Qualified candidates must have a bachelor's degree or equivalent, and a minimum of seven years of experience in attorney recruiting or relevant field. Candidates must have experience overseeing attorney recruiting, lateral partner or associate recruiting (partner recruiting experience preferred), and new attorney pre-arrival and integration activities, as well as be able to work collaboratively in a multi-office law firm. Those with a law degree (J.D.) are preferred, as well as those with experience recruiting for multiple and different legal markets is helpful. The listed compensation range reflects the typical pay for this role, though it is rare for new hires to receive an offer at the top of the range. Actual compensation may vary depending on experience, skills, market conditions, and internal equity.
