Baptist Health is looking for a Donor Content Manager to join our team.

This is a remote position that requires residency in KY, IN or IL.

The Donor Content Manager contributes to and implements the development-specific communication strategy with the goal of planning and creating communications that educate, engage, cultivate and inspire philanthropic support for and engagement with Baptist Health Foundation. The Manager's primary responsibilities are to propose, create and execute new communications for internal and external audiences; to evaluate, track, and measure results of communications activities across the department; to provide day-to-day management of the communications calendar; and to drive cross-departmental collaboration on the timing of communications to ensure well-timed engagement with key audiences. Specifically, the Manager will research, propose, manage and write regular and special communications for donors, prospects and grateful patients that deliver clear and compelling messages about the opportunities for and impact of philanthropic support at Baptist Health. These communications will include content that can be used online and in print, in cases for support, in customized communications and broader communications efforts in support of philanthropic campaigns. The Manager will also review and approve outward-facing messaging and communications written by others. The Manager will be responsible for analytics and assessment for development communications, working with the AVP of Donor Relations to gather results and to communicate them broadly in support of the department's strategic goals. The Donor Content Manager will produce a continually evolving set of tools that support the organization's fundraising strategy.

  • Manage and update digital donor journeys, a coordinated matrix of communication and solicitation strategies, and expansion into omni channel approaches including but not limited to email, direct mail and video with the overall goal of increasing grateful patient donor acquisition and overall donor retention.
  • Collaborate frequently with system prospect research manager to evaluate assignment of annual donors based on donor behaviors.
  • In collaboration with the AVP of Donor Relations and Philanthropy Communications Manager, employ best practices to ensure that print and digital communications to grateful patient, donor and prospect audiences are optimally timed to drive both engagement and action.
  • Work closely with leadership to produce collateral that can be used to inspire philanthropic partnership and visually communicate Baptist Health's impact, mission and vision.
  • Develop narratives that articulate the need for support and impact of donations.
  • Regularly monitor metrics and analytics to evaluate the effectiveness of scheduled communications, identify optimal timing and improve engagement.
  • Research best practices in philanthropic communications; propose new products and delivery methods; and identify compelling stories and visuals to support the strategic goals of fundraising and Baptist Health.
  • Develop a strategic plan for donor acquisition, renewal, and reactivation of lapsed donors to build a pipeline of major gift prospects that is in alignment with strategic objectives
  • Develop and implement a monthly giving program in an effort to build increased engagement and giving with donors at the annual and midlevel donor levels

Minimum Education, Experience, Training and Licensures Required1

Bachelor's degree

Three years

Preferred Experience

  • Experience in healthcare or philanthropic communications preferred
  • Experience working with Salesforce and Salesforce compatible applications
  • Experience working with digital communications platforms (MailChimp, Constant Contact, Salesforce Marketing Cloud, Pardot)
  • Proficiency writing in AP Style
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office programs
