Volkswagen Group of America's 10 - week Summer Internship Program targets undergraduate students entering their Junior or Senior years who are eager to acquire practical, real-world experience in the automotive industry. Program Information:



  • 10-week Summer Internship Start Date (non-negotiable): June 2, 2025
  • Program Duration: June 2, 2024 - August 8, 2025

Role Summary:

The Pacific Region Aftersales Intern will be exposed to 5 key areas of fixed operations: Customer Satisfaction Index (CSI), Service Process, Parts Operations, Marketing Initiatives and Fixed Operations Management. Our Aftersales Team is excited Our team is looking forward to mentor, teach, collaborate with someone new. We have wide breath of experience and looking forward to new and creative ideas from this experience.

Role Responsibilities:



  • Customer Satisfaction Index (CSI): Learn the importance of CSI and its impact on the dealership's reputation and business success. Engage in strategies that enhance customer satisfaction and loyalty


  • Service Process: Understand the end-to-end service process, from customer greeting to vehicle delivery. Observe the interactions between service advisors and customers, focusing on effective communication and customer service skills.


  • Parts Operations: Gain insight into parts planning and inventory management. Participate in retail and wholesale parts sales, understanding objectives and performance metrics.


  • Marketing Initiatives: Get involved in the creation, development, and deployment of marketing campaigns at both regional and local levels. Contribute ideas for promotions that drive service and parts sales, while engaging customers.


  • Fixed Operations Management (FOM): Develop a clear understanding of the responsibilities and expectations of Fixed Operations Managers. Observe planning and execution strategies to enhance operational efficiency and profitability.

Qualifications

Education Required:



  • High school diploma/GED
  • Bachelor's degree track in Business Management and/or Marketing strongly preferred
  • Strong GPA


Skills:



  • Strong Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint and Word skills required
  • Database mining and strong analytic skills are strongly desired
  • Communication / adaptability in a remote environment
