*Description:*
We are looking to add a long term consultant to our Network Cloud Operations Team. *Responsibilities include but are not limited to: * * Troubleshooting cloud infrastructure issues related to networking and security. * Building highly scalable and highly available solutions deployed on public clouds (such as AWS, Azure, and/or GCP), and/or hybrid environments. * Assistance in working with other DIT teams, which includes the network and security teams, for cloud on-boarding and migrations. * Assist the operational team as needed and requested. * Perform root cause analysis and post implementation reviews. * Assist the cloud team to evaluate and identify optimal cloud solutions. * Schedules and coordinates the installation and configuration of cloud network infrastructure solutions with customers and other internal DIT teams. * Maintain and keep track of all technical duties that are related to cloud networking such as design, planning, management, maintenance, and support. * Manage, monitor, troubleshoot and resolve network performance issues: utilization/throughput, slowness, and unexpected latency. *Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities / Competencies:* * Extensive hands-on experience with Palo Alto VM Series firewall and Panorama configuration and optimization * Experience with VPN technologies to include IPsec and SSL technologies. * Ability to work on large TCP/IP networks, design, implementation, and troubleshooting. * Experience with name services and resolution, associated IP assignments. * Experience with routers, routing protocols, transit gateways, load balancing, and overall cloud networking, including VPCs, subnets, routes, security groups, endpoints, CIDR assignments. * Experience with security best practices and implementing security controls in a AWS cloud environment. * Possess strong problem-solving skills, including the ability to troubleshoot complex cloud networking infrastructure issues. * Strong communication skills, including the ability to communicate cloud standards and security best practices to technical and non-technical audiences. * Self-motivated with strong team-oriented and collaborative attitude. * Strong knowledge and understanding of cloud infrastructure components such as compute, storage, network management, and monitoring (network and security). * Knowledge of WAF as a Service (AWS, Azure, GCP). * Knowledge of core network services (including DNS, DHCP, and IPAM technologies) * Knowledge of IAM technologies (Azure AD, AD AWS SSO). * Ability to document detailed designs. *MUST HAVE - Skills & Qualifications:* * Extensive hands-on experience with *Palo Alto VM Series firewall* and* Panorama configuration *and *optimization* * Experience with security best practices and* implementing security controls* in a *AWS AZURE Cloud* environment. * State experience is a plus * Must be eligible to work in US on W2 without sponsorship *Pay and Benefits* The pay range for this position is $50.00 - $85.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
