Overview

The Materials Management team is looking for a Materials Assistant III to support the daily needs of performing inventory counts, reconcile inventory discrepancies, conduct inventory adjustments, create cycle count reports, conduct monthly meetings with the team to report performance, inventory accuracy, and help with improvement efforts as needed.


Responsibilities

  • Coordinate cycle counts on a daily basis in all warehouse locations
  • Reconcile discrepancies between the physical count of materials and on hand quantity in SAP
  • Investigate any stock related issues
  • Insure proper inventory storage in the warehouse
  • Generate reports to communicate inventory accuracy
  • Support stockroom request by adjust In and Out required parts from inventory
  • Coordinate transfers to Slow-Moving location for materials with no consumption
  • Maintain the department database and file cycle count records
  • Participate in safety training and actively comply with safety policies and practices
  • Participate in Lean/Six Sigma activities in own work area as well as events for other areas to enhance cross-functional problem solving

Qualifications

MINIMUM JOB QUALIFICATIONS:

  • High School Diploma or accredited GED.
  • Two (2) experience in inventory control and warehouse management.
  • Two (2) years Warehouse and/or Material Handling experience.
  • Two (2) year of working with SAP and basic knowledge of MRP in SAP.
  • Intermediate experience in Excel (daily usage) and Power Point.

PREFERRED JOB QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals; ability to compute rate, ratio and percent and to draw and interpret bar graph.
  • Ability to review and compare data to identify inconsistencies and determine priorities.
  • Ability to flexibility and adaptability to changing priorities and assignments; ability to maintain confidentiality.
  • Ability to receive messages by telephone, in person, electronically and in writing; ask questions and rephrase statements to clarify meaning; ability to read, interpret and comprehend complex written and verbal instructions as well as technical publications; communicate across organizational levels; ability to communicate with quality, integrity and respect in a way that inspires others and encourages innovation and possibilities.
  • Ability to remain engaged, proactive and positive even in tough circumstances; own assignments and be fully accountable for their success; align actions, behaviors and conversations to what matters most; bring out the best in others and recognize the value in every person's contributions.
  • Strong attention to details along with organizational skills.

Salary Range: $21.38/per hour - $30.14/per hour (San Diego, CA).

Applicable pay within the posted range may vary based on factors including, but not limited to, geographical location, job function of the position, education, and experience of the successful candidate. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well business results.
