Posting Summary
The Department of Pathology and Laboratory Medicine at Robert Wood Johnson Medical School, in conjunction with Rutgers Health, invited application for a faculty position at the Assistant Professor or Associate Professor level in the Department of Pathology and Laboratory Medicine, Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital-Hamilton. The Department is responsible for the oversight and management of all anatomic and clinical laboratory services at RWJUH-Hamilton, a 287-bed facility located in Hamilton, New Jersey.

The successful candidate will be the leader of the pathology laboratory at RWJUH-Hamilton, responsible for oversight of all aspects of the laboratory operation. This individual will provide leadership for staff, will plan, organize and direct the activities of the Laboratory with the assistance of an administrative director, managers, supervisors and senior technologists and will serve as a subject matter expert and consultant, closely collaborating with physicians and other health care providers.

The Director will have responsibility for providing clinical direction to the Hamilton laboratory, including laboratory oversight, test validation and maintenance of College of American Pathologists ( CAP) accreditation of the laboratory; experience in a CAP accredited laboratory is desirable. As a member of the Anatomic and Clinical Pathology team, consulting with clinical staff and participating in tumor boards is expected. This is a general pathology service within a community hospital, although expertise in a relevant subspecialty and management exposure is desirable.

Minimum Education and Experience
