$2,625.59 to $2,888.15 biweekly. Actual salary negotiable based on experience and qualifications. Central Area/Cocoa Transit Center/Cocoa. Work schedule is Monday through Friday 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Performs skilled professional work directing and coordinating functions for the Transit Services Department. Work includes researching, identifying, and locating grant opportunities to meet specific organizational objectives; drafting and compiling grant proposals, detailing the needs, objectives, budget, and anticipated outcomes; maintaining and organizing a database of all grant submissions past and present, including dates and outcomes; assisting in preparation of grant template documents for upcoming grant development needs; monitoring Call for Grant Applications (CGAs) and/or federal and state Call for Projects announcements; and serving as a liaison with other county, state, federal, and community agencies. Employees in this class are expected to coordinate and manage operations with considerable independence and initiative.

REQUIREMENTS: Bachelor's degree in Public Administration, Business Administration, Organizational Management, Political Science, Social Science, a field related to Public Transportation or Transit Services, or any closely related field PLUS six (6) years of progressively responsible professional experience in administering or managing programs or projects in the transportation industry, which includes grant writing and coordination. Additional qualifying education and/or experience may be substituted on a year for year basis. A Master's degree is preferred. SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS: Must possess, or obtain prior to employment, a valid Florida Driver's license and maintain said license during the term of employment. In the event of a hurricane, major storm, natural or man-made disaster that may threaten the area, the employee will be required to perform emergency duties as directed
