Georgia-Pacific's Consumer Products division is seeking qualified professionals to consider for the Mill Wide Shift Performance Coach - position in our Crossett Arkansas paper manufacturing operation located in the Southeast Arkansas area. This position plays an intricate part in the leadership and development of operators that produce our quality tissue products in the safest and most efficient manner. This position is strongly connected to each of the Operating and Shipping Areas. This position also works closely with the other 4 shift performance coaches for vacation coverage, allowing for additional skill building and development, and an extra down day/outage resource. Our Team The Georgia Pacific Mill located in Crossett, AR provides a safe, modern community at the heart of some of the finest hunting, fishing, and wildlife locations in the South, yet is a short drive to shopping, food, and entertainment centers and within hours of major urban centers. What You Will Do * Ensure safety and environmental compliance, manufacturing excellence, and customer focus for the mill shift. * Areas of focus are safety, environmental, quality, reliability, training, production, cost, and housekeeping. * Identify and correct unsafe conditions and acts. Recognize positive safety performance as well as individual and team contributions to a safer workplace. * Plan and direct work for hourly production employees in the crew. * Appraise employee performance and provide feedback as needed. Work with the departmental PCL's through SBO's to close employee gaps. * Hold employees accountable for their work and actions in a fair and consistent manner; communicate issues and results appropriately. * Lead operational and shift maintenance initiatives and resources to achieve maximum asset capability for speed, uptime, and reliability. * Assist in resolving complaints and issues. * Act as a positive change agent for continued development and improvement within a Principle Based Management (PBM) culture. * Working knowledge of the CBA and its applications for overtime, vacancies, and vacation procedures Who You Are (Basic Qualifications) * High School diploma or GED * Five (5) or more years of supervisory experience with responsibility for direct reports within a manufacturing, industrial or military environment. * Have experience using Microsoft Office tools in the following manner: Excel - (sorting data, creating tables and creating graphs); Outlook - (scheduling tasks, calendar invitations and general professional correspondence); Word - (document creation/editing); PowerPoint - (presentation creation/editing). * Willing and able to work rotating shifts - Currently, shifts are 12-hour rotations. What Will Put You Ahead * Experience in utilities, tissue, and converting operations. * Mechanical equipment operation and/or maintenance experience. * 2-year Technical/Vocational/Associate's degree or higher. * Experience using Root Cause Analysis (RCA) At Koch companies, we are entrepreneurs.
