About the Role What you will do
- Work with customers to understand their contract management and modeling needs
- Model Contracts, Update Amendment, Fee Schedules for Hospital and Physician based contracts
- Model government payer contracts and update Medicare factors periodically
- Own new customer implementations to obtain all contracts, fee schedules and other pricing related documentation from customer and in an organized manner share with offshore team for contract modeling
- Work along with offshore team to assure pricing modeling is timely progressing and team is focus on top priorities
- Be responsible for the development, coordination, and analysis of payer contracts including commercial, and government payers
- Be responsible for overall strategy and execution of alternative payment model reimbursement methods
- Collaborate with offshore manager regarding internal pricing strategies
- Monitor and analyze performance of payer agreements (including commercial, work comp, and government) for volume, strategic initiatives, and payer compliance issues
- Organize contracts in an easy-to-identify fashion on the network or contracting database
- Accurately create, assemble, and communicate all reports, detailed analyses, and trends needed by various internal and external customers
- Identify over/under payments, market, business, and reimbursement trends for the organization to maximize collections and improve efficiency
- Act as main point of contact for internal and external questions around contract management
- Collaborate with internal departments on their business needs and proactively offer suggestions to increase efficiencies related to contracting
- Coordinate the delivery of all documents necessary for new payor contracts
What you will bring
- 5+ years of previous experience in a healthcare organization with a focus on contract management and modeling
- 5+ years' experience with validating and loading contracts
- Excellent oral and written communication and interpersonal skills
- Excellent analytical skills required to present analyzed data and models in excel, power point among other tools
- Experience with contract modeling and contract loading
- The ability to work well under pressure with an ability to focus on multiple priorities while maintaining focus, attention to detail, and connecting all the dots
- Demonstrated leadership progression
- Strong contract review and interpretation skills
- Able to handle day-to-day administrative routine, as well as, constantly changing, competing projects, urgent situations, sometimes simultaneously
- Microsoft Excel expertise
