Purpose of the Job The Employee Engagement Coordinator works under the guidance of the VP of OD/Training on implementing all employee engagement strategies. This role is responsible for effectively and efficiently developing, implementing, communicating, and measuring success of employee engagement events and strategies to increase employee engagement throughout the organization including improving employee retention, employee rewards/recognition programs, employee satisfaction and cultural acclimation. This role is responsible for innovatively managing, developing, configuring, analyzing and maintaining the employee engagement online platform, Shine!. This role leads the Employee Engagement Committee and effectively plans, organizes and executes all EE activities and events to promote a team spirit on all many other events that occur throughout the year. This role also creates and implements internal/employee communications content that actively engages internal audiences through a variety of internal channels and programs to make employees and leadership aware of their role in EE efforts. Essential Functions and Responsibilities
- Manages, leads and supports all company-wide employee engagement activities and events including working with 3rd party vendors contracts and services
- Assesses and optimizes employee engagement efforts for effectiveness and inclusion for all employees through a variety of creative and innovative efforts.
- Creates and analyzes survey data on employee engagement efforts including the annual Employee Satisfaction Survey.
- Continually evaluates employee engagement strategies to improve metrics for an agile organization
- Establishes, project manages and executes employee engagement strategies designed to improve employee satisfaction and retention.
- Leads the employee engagement committee and engages members to participate and join the committee.
- Creates tools and resources to assist internal communications that foster employee engagement, education, awareness and adoption.
- Designs, conceptualizes and oversees internal videos and presentations of EE events.
- Partners with Marketing to utilize agency and design firm resources to include creative as well as production related needs for internal EE brand management.
- Works with leadership to develop plans to improve employee engagement through one-on-one meetings with employees, focus groups, workshops, or other methods
- Manages internal company recognition and service awards program and seeks out ways to improve the programs to be in alignment with industry standards.
- Creates, tracks and maintains employee engagement budget
- Manages all historical documents and internal platforms for employee engagement.
- Manages, develops, configures, analyzes and maintains the employee engagement online platform, Shine! to maximize engagement.
- Serves as a member on the Diversity Council
Other Duties and Responsibilities
- Supports and serves as back-up for the Internal Communications Coordinator.
- Assists with other tasks and projects as assigned.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Must be willing to travel to various Truliant locations for events
- Must be able to create and review designs against a pre-set branding guide, monitor the quality of work and make any necessary improvements
- Must have excellent and engaging communication skills in English, both verbal and written
- Must be well organized, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously with an emphasis on consistency and continuity
- Must be a strong team player with an outgoing, positive, can-do attitude and be comfortable with continuously changing opportunities and priorities
- Must have intermediate level skill in Microsoft Office suite of products
- Must be able to work in a team environment, with strong collaborative skills
- Must have superior interpersonal skills; ability to get along with diverse personalities; tactful, mature, flexible, compassionate
- Must have strong project management skills with demonstrated ability to manage assignments from inception to completion
- Must be able to present and effectively communicate how a creative vision will help achieve goals
- Must have strong proofreading, copywriting, copy editing, and grammar skills
- Must be creative, show initiative and good judgment
- Must possess the leadership skills necessary to prepare for and facilitate meetings with all levels (including senior management) within the organization
- Strong analytical and problem solving skills required, with the ability to research issues, summarize findings, and make meaningful recommendations
- Must be able to complete all assignments with minimal supervision
- Must be flexible and able to shift resources and priorities as required
- Must be able to work in a general office environment
- Should possess a strong commitment to providing excellent service and maintaining to Truliant's mission and values to our members; internally and externally
Physical Requirements
- Must be able to stand for long periods of time in order to conduct employee engagement events
- Occasional walking, bending, and stooping required
- Must be able to sit at a desk for long periods of time and use a computer
- Must be able to moderately lift or move up to 5 pounds and occasionally lift or move up to 10 pounds
Education and Background
- Bachelor degree in Communications, Human Resources, Training, Organizational Development or related field/experience required
- 3+ years related experience in employee engagement/ HR or OD required
- Experience in Articulate and Camtasia experience preferred
- Experience with photo/video equipment, as well as editing and post-production of digital files preferred
- Bi-lingual preferred
