Overview

Helio Health is looking for a Substance Use Disorder Counselor to support its mission of promoting recovery from the effects of substance use and mental health disorders and other health issues. This role is vital to the management and coordination of services to patients/residents participating in, or who have completed our treatment programs. This is a Full-Time position and located at our Hickory Street Program.

Pay Rate: $18.00 - $23.00 per hour.

In addition to Helio Health's comprehensive benefits package, Full-Time hires for this position are eligible for a Sign-On Incentive up to $1,500!



Responsibilities

    Maintain a case load of patients seeking treatment from the effects of substance use and/or mental health disorders.
  • Perform essential counseling responsibilities including screening, intake and orientation, assessment, evaluation and intervention, treatment planning, referrals, crisis intervention, counseling, patient education, case management, reporting and record keeping.
  • Participate in program, administrative and clinical committees as assigned.
  • Relate effectively with staff, clients, and community while upholding confidentiality requirements.


Qualifications

  • Associate's degree in a related human services field with minimum of CASAC-T required.
  • Two years of experience working with behavioral health and/or substance abuse issues.
  • Valid NYS Driver's License preferred.
