Summary: The Computer Operator III / ID Cards working in the identification (ID) card section of JFHQ is vital, as R&R Command sends a high volume of personnel to update DEERS and obtain ID cards, and the office supports the full state of Georgia for all ID card issuance, across all Service components.
Responsibilities
Essential Job Functions:
- Shall perform all tasks related to ID card and Common Access Card (CAC) issuance, including researching and reviewing source documents, verifying eligibility, and discussing entitlements as defined in Federal regulations.
- The contractor shall conduct weekly accountability checks for CAC-related stock items, including cardstock and printer consumables.
- The contractor shall issue memorandums of authorization for DoD installation Commissary and Exchange privileges to eligible customers within 2 business days of request approval.
- The contractor shall access and update RAPIDS configuration utilities as needed, ensuring system settings remain accurate and functional.
- The contractor shall review RAPIDS system audit trails weekly and investigate security violations in coordination with the Security Manager.
- The contractor shall verify Early TRICARE eligibility for mobilizing service members within 2 business days of receiving necessary documentation.
- The contractor shall field and resolve customer complaints related to ID card services within 1 business day of receipt.
- The contractor shall identify and resolve system data discrepancies within 2 business days of detection, achieving 98% accuracy in data corrections.
- The contractor shall generate and submit reports for the G1, including ID card issuance statistics and stock usage trends.
- The contractor shall verify college student status and enrollment for dependents requesting ID cards.
- The contractor shall execute tasks as the state's liaison for DEERS/RAPIDS-related matters with the National Guard Bureau Project Office.
- The contractor shall ensure the security of DEERS/RAPIDS workstations, maintaining 100% compliance with DoD security protocols.
- The contractor shall maintain the state roster of RAPIDS users, including adding roles and updating access privileges.
- The contractor shall request, delete, and update DEERS logon IDs and security privileges.
- The contractor shall report State Security Manager (SSM) changes to DEERS security immediately upon identification, achieving 100% compliance with reporting requirements.
- The contractor shall maintain current site information, including site name, location, phone numbers, and mailing address.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Necessary Skills and Knowledge:
- Proficiency in DEERS/RAPIDS systems and associated software. Ability to troubleshoot system errors and ensure accurate data entry.
- Familiarity with military personnel records and ID card issuance procedures across all Service components.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and HR-related databases.
- Ability to verify documents for eligibility, detect fraudulent identification, and ensure the integrity of personal data records.
- Strong organizational skills to manage workload and maintain accurate records.
Minimum Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in a related field.
- Must obtain a CAC.
- Must have a valid Secret security clearance (or higher) or be able to obtain one.
- Occasional service is required after hours and on weekends.
- Frequent travel for attending training, conducting training, delivering briefings, observing field operations, and attending conferences is required and reimbursable with COR approval.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Associate or bachelor's degree preferred.
- Prior experience working in a military environment is highly desirable.
