Job Overview:

Reporting to the Director of Human Resources, the Human Resources Generalist is responsible for the day-to-day support of the Human Resources Department at Lakewood Ranch Medical Center. Completes a variety of Human Resources duties required for the department to function including, but not limited to, support for recruitment efforts, new employee onboarding and orientation, training, investigations, personnel file maintenance, ongoing employee support relating to pay, benefits, leaves of absence, policies, and procedures, and more.

General Responsibilities:

  • Provides support to employees at all levels of the organization.
  • Presents issues with resolutions to the Director as needed.
  • Participates in orientation and special hospital events frequently.
  • Provides the highest level of Service Excellence to all guests in the office and over the phone.
  • Works in a timely and efficient manner in harmony with the Human Resources team.
  • Maintain highest level of confidentiality at all times.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
Required Skills/Abilities:
  • Excellent interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proactive and independent with the ability to take initiative.
  • Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong organizational skills.
  • Must be highly reliable with excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.
  • Familiarity with laws, regulations, and best practices applicable to hiring and recruitment.
  • Proficient with or the ability to quickly learn applicant-tracking software or other recruitment systems.

Qualifications

  • High School Dimploma required. Bachelors degree in Human Resources or related field preferred, or equivalent work experience.
  • 1 year of related experience required. Healthcare and/or Human Resources experience preferred.
  • Proficient with computer software and office equipment. MS Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, Power Point). HRIS, ATS.
