Do you have a desire to enter a growing and dynamic healthcare environment, but becoming trained and certified as a clinical professional has simply been outside your reach? Main Line HealthCare's Medical Assistant Apprenticeship Program provides a comprehensive and hands-on approach to training candidates for an exciting career in the rapidly growing ambulatory side of our health system.

The MA Apprenticeship Program, designed specifically for individuals with little to no clinical background, starts with 16-weeks of paid formal training. During that time, candidates will engage in a demanding hybrid learning environment that includes live in-classroom sessions, clinical experiences, and self-study using eLearning modules. All training and program materials are provided at no cost to participants, and those that successfully complete the program are eligible for permanent placement as an MA in a MLHC practice.

Make an Impact! Medical Assistants provide the backbone of clinical support in our ambulatory offices. As an MA, you'll work closely with both patients and healthcare providers. You will care for patients by assisting physicians and practitioners with routine blood draws, vital signs, immunizations, EKGs, etc. Use your skills to help maintain a smooth patient flow and anticipate needs.

Develop and Grow Your Career! Continue your learning journey by pursing additional certifications or advanced degrees by taking advantage of our Tuition Reimbursement Program! This position is eligible for up to $6,000 per year based upon your Full or Part Time status.

Program Highlights:

• 16-weeks of full-time (40 hrs/wk) dynamic training, provided at no cost to the candidate, all while getting paid over $17/hour!
• Upon program completion, candidates are eligible to sit for the MA Certification Exam, offered by our training partner, the National Healthcareer Association (NHA).
• Exam fees and prep materials are provided to candidates at no cost!
• Following training, eligible candidates will be offered a permanent, full-time position in one of our ambulatory practices!

Shift: Day Shift

Experience: No healthcare experience is required!

• Our MA Apprenticeship program is specifically designed for individuals that have a passion and desire to care for others but have little to no experience in a clinical field.

Education:

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• Applicants to the MA Apprenticeship Program must demonstrate a proficiency and passion for learning, as the 16-week training curriculum is fast-paced and demanding.
• Candidates will be expected to attend all in-person training sessions and clinical rotations, as well as dedicate time outside of normal working hours to completion of eLearning modules.
• Reliable access to a computer and high-speed internet connection are required for this program.

Licensure/Certifications:

• All MA Apprenticeship candidates will be required to obtain Basic Life Support (BLS) for the Healthcare Provider certification within their first 30-days of employment. This is provided at no cost to the candidate.
• MA Apprenticeship candidates will be fit tested for a respirator as part of the job requirements.
