POSITION SUMMARY:

The Project Manager II will be responsible for identifying, leading, and managing projects within The Johns Hopkins Hospital (JHH) Emergency Department (ED). This will include project development and implementation, and providing staff support in planning and managing departmental, organizational, and administrative initiatives. They will report to the Assistant Administrator of the JHH ED, and facilitate information exchange between clinical and administrative staff and leaders, as well as vendors/consultants and outside agencies.

The Project Manager II leads multiple projects from inception to completion, ensuring effective execution through detailed planning, and coordination. Operating with a high degree of autonomy, this role involves developing work plans, schedules, and status reports while collaborating with clinical and administrative stakeholders. Regular interactions with clinicians, research and clinical faculty, patients, and hospital leadership ensure alignment with organizational goals and seamless project implementation.

Education:




  • A Bachelor's Degree in Business in Health Administration, Project Management or related degree is required; a Master's Degree is preferred.



Required Licensure, Certification, Etc.:




  • Professional (PMP) or equivalent project/program management certification preferred.



Work Experience:




  • Requires 3-5 years of experience in business, program development and/or project development/management that must include 1 years working on projects involving project life cycle.
  • Experience in managing projects in respective functional environment (Ops/IT) is a plus.


Salary Range: Minimum 30.60 per hour - Maximum 50.53 per hour. Compensation will be commensurate with equity and experience for roles of similar scope and responsibility.

In cases where the range is displayed as a $0 amount, salary discussions will occur during candidate screening calls, before any subsequent compensation discussion is held between the candidate and any hiring authority.
