Role Overview:

The Marketing Effectiveness - Insights and Optimizations team is responsible for insights generation; A/B testing; and measurement of all Marketing initiatives, including NYL.com, sponsorships, brand, content, financial education, Field Marketing, and lead generation.
As a Sr. Associate on our team, you'll be supporting reporting, conducting analyses, and generating insights for Marketing's financial education and field marketing programs. You will have the opportunity to build new reports and create web analytics dashboards that align to these programs' measurement frameworks.

The right candidate will be eager to dive into a variety of data sources, ranging from internal business data, channel performance and web analytics - and understand the business context of programs and their metrics. This role will work collaboratively across the marketing organization, serving as a day-to-day partner to stakeholders, and be self-motivated to deliver insights in a digestible format that helps stakeholders drive results against a set of strategic objectives.

What You'll Do:
* Own reporting and insights generation for marketing's financial education and field marketing programs, including local sponsorship activations; this will include developing monthly reporting, proactively generating insights and monitoring optimizations
* Leverage Adobe Analytics or Google Analytics, depending on the marketing program, to build dashboards and visualizations that explain and track performance against KPIs
* Provide strategic analysis of channel and lead funnel activities, where applicable, to inform program optimization and expansion decisions
* Proactively identify trends and variances to program performance plan, and present findings to stakeholders
* Partner with stakeholders for ad-hoc requests, and serve as a resource for performance-related questions
* Support with providing/receiving data to/from third-party vendors

What You'll Bring:
Skills & Competencies
* Understanding of digital marketing strategy and tactics, including web analytics
* Ability to interpret and synthesize data into a compelling strategic recommendation or narrative; and combine technical skills, business acumen and creative curiosity
* Strong written and verbal skills to present and explain insights and thought processes;
* Attention to detail and emphasis on delivering accurate reporting
* Collaborative and able to work cross-functionally across varying levels of the organization

Experience

  • Bachelor's Degree, preferably in a business or Marketing function and/or equivalent experience; Statistics knowledge a plus
  • 5+ years of relevant experience in a marketing analytics role
  • Proficiency in PowerPoint and MS Excel
  • Experience with data visualization tools, Tableau preferred
  • Experience with Web Analytics tools, Adobe Analytics or Google Analytics preferred
  • Experience with SEO data,optional but preferred
  • Proficiency in SQL, optional but preferred

Pay Transparency

Salary Range:$105,000 - $140,000

Overtime eligible:Exempt

Discretionary bonus eligible:Yes

Sales bonus eligible:No

Actual base salary will be determined based on several factors but not limited to individual's experience, skills, qualifications, and job location. Additionally, employees are eligible for an annual discretionary bonus. In addition to base salary, employees may also be eligible to participate in an incentive program.
