Position Function |
Provide guidance/advice to unit leaders in University Schools, including actively participating in budget and finance planning sessions, advising unit leaders of financial impact of decisions or strategic initiatives, evaluating the fiscal health of the unit(s), and identifying opportunities for strategic resource allocation. Responsible for compiling and completing required State and Federal reports in collaboration with administrative coordinators. |
Minimum Education |
Bachelor's degree or higher from an accredited college or university. |
Minimum Experience |
At least three years of experience in financial management. |
Minimum Other |
Ability to:
- Communicate clearly, both verbal and written, to internal and external constituents and apply a high degree of analytical, sensitivity, interpretive and evaluative skills dealing with complex concepts, projects, etc.
- Analyze complex financial and statistical data and prepare reports, summarize conclusions, and recommendations for University leadership.
- Advise and collaborate with senior management on financial and budget issues.
- Exercise independent judgment and utilize diplomacy in handling sensitive matters.
- Plan, organize, lead and handle multiple projects and priorities simultaneously, meet schedules and due dates, and adjust plans due to changing circumstances.
- Utilize Microsoft Excel to manipulate data into tables and reporting formats for budgets and state reporting.

Preferred Education |
Bachelor's degree or higher in business administration, accounting, finance, or related area from an accredited college or university. |

Advise and consult with leaders as necessary in the development and management of budgets for University Schools, communicate budget information and resolve issues. |
