Security Supervisor Full Time Second Shift

Job Summary:

Provide supervision of subordinates; develop, implement, and coordinate security programactivities.

Responsibilities:

Supervision & Training of Security Staff

* Provides security staff guidance and direction to ensure compliance with department and hospitalpolicies and procedures.
* When reasonable and appropriate administers appropriate corrective action to security staff.
* Ensures security staff receive appropriate initial and ongoing training.
* Provides support to the hospital's workplace violence training program.
* Conduct interviews and make recommendations regarding hiring of onsite security staff.
* Ensures security staffing levels are appropriately maintained via staff scheduling.

Communication
* Effectively communicate applicable and pertinent information to hospital and security
administration via verbal and written methods.
* Develop and maintain working relationships with local community partners and first responders
(e.g. law enforcement).
* Participate on hospital committees and interface with appropriate facility departments.

Incident Reporting & Analysis
* Review reports and situations for potential negative impact and required follow up.
* Analyzes department functions and make suggestions, recommendations, and/or changes when
appropriate to increase effectiveness productivity.
* Ensure hospital incidents and applicable paperwork are properly documented.

Emergency Response
* Responds quickly and effectively to emergency and non-emergency situations.
* Provide direct support and guidance for the hospital's emergency management program.

Requirements:

• High School diploma or equivalent.

• Four years of prior security experience.

• Valid Driver's License with satisfactory driving record.

• International Association for Healthcare Security and Safety (IAHSS) Supervisor Certification within 6 months.
