Reuter-Stokes' Project Management Office (PMO) Leader is responsible for developing the policies, procedures, and execution of Project Management for our team. This includes developing and implementing processes based on industry best practices, leading our most critical sensor/hardware design and development projects, introducing new products into production and the market, and ensuring we are delivering high-quality products on time and within budget for our customers, employees, and stakeholders.

As a Senior Program Manager, you will be responsible for:

  • Developing a regular cadence and template reporting to senior management working within our New Product / Technology Introduction process focusing on leading teams to develop the next generation sensors and hardware for deployment into Nuclear, Oil & Gas, Radiation Safety Markets.
  • Leading cross-functional project teams throughout the entire Hardware Development Project Life Cycle (PLC) in accordance with Reuter-Stokes' product development process.
  • Developing and improving project management and product development processes to ensure project success, including scope, schedule, budget, and risk.
  • Driving project accountability and communicating project status at all levels throughout the business.
  • Setting critical project Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and then providing formal project appraisal on these metrics regularly to the senior leadership team (minimally includes integrated objectives for quality, scope, cost, risk, and schedule).
  • Developing and maintaining project schedules in Microsoft Project, including critical path identification/management.
  • Developing and implementing work & cost breakdown structures
  • Developing and managing risk registers across the Reuter-Stokes project portfolio
  • Leading and assisting in business case development, including project financial benefits through the use of payback, Net Present Value (NPV), and Internal Rate of Return (IRR) methods.
  • Leading & supporting project estimation and bidding processes, including development and capture of assumptions on a Basis of Estimate (BOE)
  • Leading a small team of direct reports to successfully execute Reuter-Stokes' projects and programs.

Fuel your passion

To be successful in this role you will:

  • Have 10 years successful project management experience in an industrial setting leading multi-million dollar, cross functional development efforts. This experience should include developing project scope, budgets, schedules, risk registers, and team building.
  • Have 5 years' experience in managing hardware development programs from concept development through production into sustainment.
  • Have a Bachelor's degree in an engineering, physics, business, or quality discipline
  • Have excellent interpersonal and facilitation skills; proven written and verbal communication skills
  • Have the ability to read/understand engineering drawings, part numbering systems, bills of materials, and material specifications.
  • Be able to identify configuration and design change management
  • Be able to identify and manage product requirements & qualification processes and associated quality standards.
  • Experience developing and managing through and with key project management tools/metrics including risk registers, Schedule Performance Index (SPI), Cost Performance Index (CPI), Work Breakdown Structures (WBS), WBS Dictionaries, Estimate to Completes (ETCs), and Estimate at Completes (EACs)
  • Experience working within an ERP system
  • Have the ability to work on U.S. Export controlled technology
  • Have proven experience managing programs within the construct of ISO 9001, AS9100, or similar quality / regulatory requirements
  • Have the ability to travel up to 10% out of the year

Preferred qualifications include:

  • Current Project Management Professional (PMP) certification through the Project Management Institute
  • Experience working in the Nuclear industry (inclusive of both power generation and defense)
  • Nuclear Safety Experience
  • Earned Value Management System Training / Certification
