Director, Health IT Strategy CS Nursing Informatics Full Time 84124BR Job Summary Having wide-ranging experience, the Director of Strategy for Health IT leads strategic technological planning to achieve business goals by prioritizing technology initiatives and coordinating the evaluation, deployment, and management of current and future technologies across UCSF Health. Collaborates with the appropriate departments and outside vendors to develop and maintain a technology roadmap that supports organizational needs. Promotes organizational transformation by advising on the planning and execution of improvement efforts throughout the health enterprise, applying a standard framework for managing improvement projects, and acting as a consultant on improvement science and data-driven decision-making. Has responsibility for the stewardship of health IT areas of high criticality to a large-scale enterprise architecture. Develops/contributes to IT business plans, staffing, budgeting, and process decisions that support both the long-term and the short-term objectives of the company. Works on most complex issues with little or no health system precedent where analysis of situations or data requires an in-depth evaluation of variable factors. Maintains competency in and thorough understanding of trends and technology futures in digital health. The final salary and offer components are subject to additional approvals based on UC policy. Your placement within the salary range is dependent on a number of factors including your work experience and internal equity within this position classification at UCSF. For positions that are represented by a labor union, placement within the salary range will be guided by the rules in the collective bargaining agreement. The salary range for this position is $129,600 - $303,800 (Annual Rate). Health Informatics is a multidisciplinary team of clinicians and technology professionals that partners with clinical, business, and technology leaders throughout the organization, using information technology to improve the quality, safety, and value of care, and the patient and clinician experience, across the UCSF Health enterprise.
