Job Summary

Ironwood has an immediate career opportunity for a printed circuit board/flex fabrication engineer/technician. This position is to manage our new but growing captive etching and plating facility used to produce precision test contacts for the testing of semiconductor devices.

This is an autonomous position with great flexibility and the opportunity to wear many hats, from PCB layout through manufacturing and new product development. Additional desired skills related to PCB manufacturing include laser cutting, lamination, and chemical analysis. This individual should be a self-starter with a sense of urgency and a desire to get things done. You will have the opportunity to interface with both design engineers and sales/customer service.

Responsibilities



  • improving various processes in manufacturing operations by developing new methods and processes
  • optimizing manufacturing processes by researching, designing, modifying, and testing manufacturing methods and equipment
  • creating and/or automating manufacturing processes after analyzing the requirements of the finished product
  • conduct research and assess various manufacturing processes by using their knowledge regarding product fabrication, assembly, design, and materials
  • training and assisting various technicians regarding product assembly and processes
  • liaison between engineering, machining, and assembly, while becoming expertly familiar with our products

Qualifications



  • Bachelor degree in Manufacturing, Industrial, or Mechanical Engineering
  • 3D Cad, SolidWorks
  • Familiarity/experience with automated processes, equipment, and machine design preferred
  • Experience with electronic manufacturing is a plus
