Commercial Associate Account Manager - Project Risk

Essential job responsibilities include but are not limited to:



  • Supports and demonstrates IMA's core values

  • Pursues formal and informal training to develop into Account Manager
  • Demonstrates competencies to own a book of business, but does not yet own a book
  • Shadows AM and assists on new project placements
  • Demonstrates proficiency to perform all job tasks with AE & AM oversight, including:
  • Under the direction of the Account Executive, creates the marketing submission and manages ongoing negotiations with carriers
  • Receives quotes, reviews for accuracy and desired coverages, terms, pricing from submission, generates and populates the proposal, and sends to Account Executive for completion/review
  • Receives policies, sends instructions to the applicable COE and keeps COE abreast of any changes that occur during negotiations with ability to process the policy if needed
  • Other general responsibilities include premium allocations, Certificate of Insurance request template preparation & master approval, on-demand certificates, basic contract reviews, policy endorsements, creating extension and project close-out activities, resolving coverage and premium discrepancy issues



Required Experience and Skills include but are not limited to:



  • Basic understanding of construction insurance with Builders Risk and OCIP knowledge a plus
  • Ability to work within AMS (EPIC experience a plus) and maintain data completeness standards
  • State of residency Producer's License
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Minimum 3 (3) years insurance experience
  • Working towards industry-approved designation-CRIS
  • High level of organization and ability to interface with clients and carriers
  • Experience with MS Office products required (specifically PowerPoint, Outlook, Word, and Excel)
  • Ability to travel if needed (up to 10% depending on book of business & industry)
  • Strong communication skills both written and verbal
