Position Summary

The Business Program Coordinator is responsible for supporting initiatives in the Business, Economics, and Entrepreneurial Studies departments designed to enhance enrollment, retention, completion, equity, and excellence. This includes providing support for accreditation efforts, program support for the Entrepreneurial Studies department and the Ratcliffe Scholars Program, database management, and promoting degrees, certificates, courses, and other offerings to current and prospective students.

Pay dates occur on the 7th and 22nd of each month. If those dates fall on a weekend, the pay date occurs on the Friday prior to the 7th and 22nd. As an employee of the college, you are eligible for a comprehensive benefits package.

In the best interest of the College, only individuals who are residents of Maryland or one of the following states will be eligible for employment at the college: Delaware, Pennsylvania, Virginia, West Virginia or the District of Columbia. The college will annually review this restriction and, if appropriate, expand the list of states of employment eligibility

Job Duties and Responsibilities

Enrollment and Retention efforts
* Promote Business, Economics and Entrepreneurial Studies degrees & certificates to AACC students, their families, and the community at large (traveling road shows, open houses, national night out, etc.)
* Develop and maintain promotional materials for Business, Economics, and Entrepreneurial Studies degree, certificate & course offerings
* Conduct data analysis of Business, Economics, and Entrepreneurial Studies students and reach out to those who are close to completing degrees or certificates

Database Management
* Create and maintain databases of ESI alumni, business advisory board members, guest speakers, and internships for use within the business departments

Activities to support the Entrepreneurial Studies department
* Create and send weekly E-newsletter
* Plan and execute ESI events - including Big Idea, Business Pitch, Hawk Trade, Scholar orientations
* Visit AACC classes to promote the ESI certificate and scholarship as a Plus One
* Coordinate the review of scholarship applications up to 3x per year
* Serve as the liaison between ESI and Financial Aid for scholarships
* Conduct annual survey of alumni
* Maintain live binder for students
* Supervise Hatchery workers
* Maintain Hatchery supplies and equipment
* Assist in the preparation of the annual report to the Ratcliffe Foundation
* Arrange tours of the Hatchery as needed

General Department Support

* Assist with accreditation efforts
* Assist with Summer Camp planning & activities
* Provide backup support to the Office Manager of Business, Economics, and Entrepreneurial Studies
* Other duties as assigned by the Assistant Dean for Business Programs

Required Qualifications:

Associate's degree or higher

Minimum of two years of relevant experience

Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite

Preferred Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree

Experience with database management
