We are looking for a Materials Handler to help make this vision come true for our customers when they come in and are looking for support.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Performs all assigned duties in a safe manner adhering to all company safety requirements
  • Performs assigned duties to deliver parts and other necessary items to the production floor.
  • Performs assigned duties to return unnecessary items back to the parts department.
  • Performs assigned duties to transfer parts and other necessary items from department to department.
  • Provides support in job preparation as needed for production of equipment.
  • Assist with cycle counts and inventories as required.
  • Provide coverage for cutting materials and prepping materials as required.
  • Ensure assigned areas are kept in a neat and organized manner.
  • Ensure accuracy of all paperwork completed.
  • Operate forklift as needed.
  • Provides general labor support, or any assigned tasks as determined by Management, as needed for production of equipment.
  • Accurately tracks time in Timecard system
  • Recommends methods for improving efficiency a reducing waste of materials and utilities

QUALIFICATIONS & EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS

  • General mechanical and/or refrigeration knowledge
  • Must be able to read a tape measure, calipers, and micrometers.
  • Must be able to read blueprints and drawings.
  • Must be a self-starter.
  • Must be detail oriented.

PREFERRED SKILLS

  • High school diploma or GED certificate
  • Ability to communicate and read instructions in English (Bilingualism a plus)

LANGUAGE SKILLS

Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business information. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from managers, customers, and the production staff.

REASONING ABILITY

Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to assist in creating and executing continuous improvement initiatives.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

  • Ability to lift at least fifty (50) pounds
  • This position requires a significant amount of walking; bending; standing and sitting for extended periods of time
