JRAD is seeking candidates for a position supporting the Yuma Test Center, Yuma Proving Ground. This is an on-site position located in Yuma, AZ.

Roles/Responsibilities:

  • Perform test engineering, test engineering technician, or technical analysis services. These services shall include but are not limited to design, planning, coordination, execution, test facility planning, and reporting on test programs of military equipment.
  • These technical tasks conclude upon the delivery of a technical product such as an instrumentation plan, a computer program, provide technical briefings after Government approval, a specific study for recommendation, or hardware and/or software specifications.
  • Attend planning meetings, conducting general research, maintaining/establishing a control log of all test documents (publications, manuals, directives, minutes, safety reports, etc.), writing interim test status reports, acting as an escort and access control for training or conferences, and writing assignments (Test Integration Working Group minutes, detailed test plans, final test reports, and other test associated documents).
  • Participate in the conduct of field testing in various roles from data acquisition up to direction of testing in progress, including the review, validation, and the taking necessary corrective action based upon data generated on assigned tests (includes information from field testing, test support, and maintenance activities).
  • Assure that test reports progress at a pace concurrent with testing; data sources include raw field data, logs, recordings, various charts, graphs/tables generated by first level data reduction, and maintenance data.
  • Maintain Test Plans & Test Data reports or compiled raw test data from all sources into formats required for data, letter, abbreviated, and formal reports.
  • Submit test planning documentation IAW YPG Test Director's Guide and AR 73-1 - Test and Evaluation Policy.
  • Conduct test scheduling, execution, and coordination activities to ensure milestone events are completed as scheduled per the Test Plan and AR 73-1 - Test and Evaluation Policy.
  • Submit test reports or compilation of raw test data IAW YPG Test Director's Guide and AR 73-1 - Test and Evaluation Policy; all documentation is to be provided in MS Office software format.
  • Ensure no test related safety violations occur during test mission activity and pre- operational safety meetings are conducted as described in Test Director's Guide.
  • Provide field technicians on systems under test to collect, assimilate, and annotate.
  • Threat data as requested by the Test Officer.
  • Maintain test incident database on deficiencies noted during testing of threat systems undergoing testing.

Required Skills and Education:

  • Must have a Baccalaureate degree in science or engineering from an accredited university.
  • Six (6) or more years of experience in planning, reviewing, or executing testing of military systems.
  • Experience must demonstrate knowledge of Department of Defense integrated test philosophy, test regulations, and coordinated test and evaluation programs.

Security Clearance:

  • Secret Clearance is required.
