We are currently hiring a Associate Digital Marketing Manager for Truly in Boston, MA.
*A Hybrid position at Boston Beer requires that our coworkers reside within commuting distance to be onsite 3 days a week (Tuesday - Thursday).
In 6 short years, Truly Hard Seltzer has gone from an idea to a top brand in all of beer. We're looking for an Associate Digital Marketing Manager that can lead the day-to-day engagement with Truly's drinkers across all social media channels. You will be relied upon to maintain our voice and foster community, while regularly contributing new ideas that elevate the brand. You should be well-versed in the language of the internet, have a passion for providing exceptional drinker experiences, and be ready to serve as the voice of Truly. This position reports to the Sr. Manager of Integrated Communications.
What You'll Brew:
Managerial Responsibilities
- Shared management of Social Media Specialist, supporting in day-to-day management as it relates to organic & paid content development and overarching social media strategy
Digital Strategy
- Work with Sr. Manager of Integrated Communications update title and Brand Management team to develop the online communications plans (owned, earned and paid) across functions, including organic and paid social media, advertising, creative, and web, in partnership with agency support and internal Creative team
- Manage day-to-day activities on social channels to connect with consumers, generate content, and drive positive brand sentiment while reporting on key insights and recommendations
- Support execution of content strategy in partnership with Sr. Manager of Integrated Communications to bring to life our brands' visual identity and tone of voice, as well as foster one-to-one drinker engagement with support from the Social Media Specialist and community manager
- Support development of advertising campaign plans in partnership with Sr. Manager of Integrated Communications, agencies, and cross-functional teams
- Manage local and regional social media marketing efforts in partnership with sales force and brand team
- Partner with enterprise e-comm team to share brand assets, product plans, and develop brand enhanced content below the fold with key retailers
- Work with in-house design and development teams to ensure that the brands' websites are current and optimized
- Provide monthly web and social analytics with recommendations for optimization, including organic and paid social media
- Provide input to Sr. Manager of Integrated Communications in development and management of annual digital/social budget planning
Content Generation and Drinker Engagement
- Responsible for managing content development process with Social Media Specialist for digital and social channels, including advertising needs
- Execute proactive culturally relevant real-time content ideas to keep fans engaged with our brand
- Collaborate with Sr. Manager of Integrated Communications and Creative team to develop content for e-commerce, digital advertising, and website needs
- Manage social agency in regard to Truly's influencer strategy development, influencer identification, and execution of influencer activation.
- Lead the administration of brand website with support from Sr. Manager of Integrated Communications including working with creative team from a design standpoint, brand teams on content, and managing in-house support
- Liaise with Media Manager and Sr. Manager of Integrated Communications on content and strategy for paid digital assets; partner for development and management of SEM strategy and execution
Other Responsibilities
- Work with cross functional Integrated Comms Leads and Digital Marketing Managers to introduce new capabilities and tools in order to raise the bar for best-in-class digital execution across the portfolio
- Travel to support experiential, sales and media event activations for social media amplification
What Ingredients You'll Bring:
Minimum Qualifications:
- Minimum of 5+ years experience in growing brands through social marketing
- Be a thought leader by staying ahead of trends in social media marketing, emerging media, and online communications
- Extraordinary communication and copywriting skills
- Experience driving concepting and development of content with in-house and agency partners
- Experience working with influencers, including outreach, management and contracting
- Experience with community management and driving advocacy and community growth for brands
- Experience with Instagram, Facebook, X, TikTok, YouTube, Google Analytics, and established social media listening tools like Spredfast/Sprinklr, NetSuite, Social Bakers
- Must provide portfolio or website URL to show book of work
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelors Degree
- Experience marketing alcoholic beverages a plus
- Passion for the beer/cider/beverage industry a big plus
- Experience with website management tools like Sitecore
Level: 7
At the Boston Beer Company and in accordance with pay transparency laws, we are open about our salary ranges. For this role, the salary range is between $59,500 and $106,000. However, it's important to note that where the person hired starts in this range is dependent on their related experience, skillset and location. Additionally, this position qualifies for an discretionary annual bonus based on company and induvial performance, and certain sales roles might include a car allowance.
