*Overview:*
*We are seeking a detail-oriented and knowledgeable Mechanical Claims Analyst* to join our expanding customer contact team. In this role, you will leverage your automotive expertise and exceptional customer service skills to ensure a seamless and efficient claims process. You will assist customers through our customer contact center, helping to maintain our strong reputation for fairness, honesty, and excellence. *Key Responsibilities:* * *Claims Review & Investigation:* Review, investigate, and authorize minor mechanical claims in accordance with a wide range of contract guidelines. * *Customer Communication:* Serve as the primary point of contact for retail and wholesale customers, repair facilities, and third parties, handling inquiries via phone and email. * *Claims Processing:* Use various communication and technology tools to process claims, review policies and procedures, analyze labor times, and retrieve necessary documents. * *Labor Time Evaluation:* Utilize platforms like *AllData*, *Mitchell*, and other labor guides to determine accurate labor times for specific minor mechanical repairs. *Day-to-Day Duties:* * Handle calls from *dealerships* to determine if car repairs fall under the warranty coverage, using established guidelines to assess claim approval or denial. * Provide support to *car owners*, explaining why their claims were approved or denied. * Assist *car owners* by outlining the process for getting a quote and determining whether their repair will be covered under warranty. * Use your *mechanical expertise* to analyze vehicle issues and provide accurate guidance to both dealerships and customers on next steps for the claim process. *Required Skills & Qualifications:* * *Automotive Experience:* 2+ years of hands-on automotive maintenance or mechanical claims experience. * *ASE Certification (preferred):* While ASE or similar automotive certifications are preferred, expired certifications will also be considered. * *Strong Communication Skills:* Excellent verbal and written communication abilities to interact effectively with customers and repair facilities. * *Computer Proficiency:* Ability to use multiple programs and tools (e.g., AllData, Mitchell, labor guides) to review claims and repair data. * *Customer Service Excellence:* Experience in delivering outstanding service, especially in challenging or high-pressure situations. *Additional Preferred Skills:* * Experience with *labor guides* (AllData or similar platforms). * Familiarity with *scan tools* (though not required). *Experience Level:* *Entry-level candidates with automotive or mechanical backgrounds are encouraged to apply.* *Interview Questions:* * Tell us about your previous experience in the automotive or mechanical industry. * Describe a challenging project you worked on and how you handled it. * Share an example of a time when you successfully resolved a difficult customer issue. * Have you worked with scanners in the past?
