Proposal Manager

Information Management Group, Inc. IMG is hiring a Proposal Manager to ensure all the company's proposals are fully executed from start to finish. This involves coordinating the proposal process, preparing the actual proposals, and presenting them to clients. The Proposal Manager will often work on tight deadlines and must manage, and delegate tasks required to complete a proposal, such as writing, editing, and other efforts associated with the process.

Key Responsibilities

Assess proposals under government evaluators standards
• Create effective proposal strategies
• Develop compliance checklists
• Outline proposals to match government instructions
• Assign requirements to appropriate authors for coverage in the proposal
• Prepare for and conducting an effective kickoff meeting
• Lead high-performing proposal teams on fast-paced schedules
• Exploit knowledge of the selection process to guide interactions with your customer after proposal submittal
• Create a complete and comprehensive compliance matrix
• Draft an outline based on customer instructions
• Develop a schedule with critical milestones
• Assign tasks to proposal contributors
• Conduct regular "stand-up" status meetings
• Facilitate proposal kickoff meetings
• Organize and lead proposal pink, red, gold and white glove team reviews
• Oversee production and final proposal submission
• Plan proposal content using storyboard techniques to be compliant and responsive
• Incorporate effective graphics and action captions to better communicate messages
• Organize proposal content to be persuasive
• Write the planned proposal section
• Examine the content for effectiveness and compliance

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree
• 4+ years of experience in proposal management for federal government proposals, including experience with DOD and IC proposals
• Track record of managing and winning large, complex proposals
• Ability to coach writers and manage proposal content
• Ability to effectively communicate and collaborate with senior leaders, capture managers, and proposal support teams
• Has an ownership mentality and is completely accountable for compliance
• Has a comprehensive understanding of SharePoint, Shipley Proposal Process, and industry best practices

Preferred Qualifications

• Proposal Management training experience
• APMP/PMP Certification
