The mission of Norris, Inc. is Transforming lives through the power of connection and healing. Are you looking for an employer that is innovative and trauma informed? Are you looking for a job that is going to be challenging and rewarding all at the same time? Well you've come to the right place! When you choose a career with Norris, you walk away every day knowing that you had a positive impact on the lives of others. Norris' Group Care Programs provide treatment, educational, and therapeutic recreational services to youth ages 8 through 17 and their families. Youth receive services related to mental health, emotional behavioral disorders, problematic sexualized behaviors, AODA, and trauma, including physical, sexual, emotional abuse or neglect. The Norris team strives to provide the best quality care to youth and families by making meaningful connections and providing a safe space for individuals to heal. We engage those we serve, our colleagues and our community with respect, compassion and acceptance. Norris is currently seeking an individual to fulfill the role of Assistant Milieu Supervisor in our Shelter Care Program at our Mukwonago, WI campus. Under the supervision of the Milieu Supervisor, the Assistant Milieu Supervisor (AMS) helps to collaborate with Milieu Supervisor to coordinate the day-to-day operation of the halls at the River's Edge Campus Shelter in accordance with program schedules, policies, protocols and procedures, licensing requirements, placing agency expectations, and best practice standards. The AMS ensures hall services and activities take place, and addresses youth needs according to their plans (i.e., treatment, safety, guidance, etc.). The AMS has direct reports and will ensure supervision meetings take place on a consistent basis. The AMS will work in collaboration with the Milieu Supervisor to maintain the activity schedule each week. The AMS is part of the Group Care Leadership team and routinely serves in the role of Leader on Duty (LOD). When not serving in the role of LOD, the AMS serves as part of the overall team providing direct oversight of the halls in the absence of the immediate Supervisor. In collaboration with the program leadership and clinical team, the AMS assists with scheduling youth appointments and helps ensure medication management for youth. The AMS ensures sensitivity to the ethnic and cultural diversity of youth, families and employees while effectively communicating and promoting the philosophy, goals, policies, and procedures of Norris. As a 24/7 treatment program, the AMS position requires the individual to work a flexible schedule in order to support the needs of their halls and the program and understands that their schedule is subject to change to meet the program's evolving needs at any time, including nights, weekends and holidays.
