JOB DESCRIPTION AND POSITION REQUIREMENTS: A Researcher position (non-tenure line) in the laboratory of Dr. Michael D. Dennis within the Department of Cell and Biological Systems at Penn State College of Medicine, in Hershey, PA, is immediately available. The overall goal of the Dennis Laboratory is to identify the molecular mechanisms and signaling pathways that contribute to diabetic complications. The search is open to applicants with expertise in the exploration of molecular mechanisms responsible for renal injury and diabetic nephropathy. Candidates should be highly motivated and capable of independently designing hypothesis-based experiments, executing studies, and preparing manuscripts and grant applications. Experience in molecular biology, biochemistry, and mouse genetic approaches is required. Candidates are required to have a doctoral degree in a field of science or medicine. A strong funding history, recently renovated laboratory and private office space, and strong core facilities provide an outstanding research environment.
