Title: Dispatch & Administrative Support - Security & Safety (Part-Time, 2nd Shift)

Department: Security and Safety

Hours: Monday - Thursday, 2:30 PM - 9:00 PM

The 2nd Shift Dispatch & Administrative Support position provides organizational and administrative assistance to the Executive Director and Assistant Director of Security and Safety. This role maintains and updates payroll, budget, alarm system, and fire prevention records and files.

Primary Job Functions:

  • Utilize Informant, parking permit cloud, and other software.

  • Inputting information for calls for service into dispatch software.

  • Track and code crime statistics within Informant.

  • Track and code crime statistics and report them in the UCR database.

  • Secure and track lost and found property as an Evidence Custodian.

  • Answer phone calls and dispatch officers to meet requests for Security & Safety services.

  • Greet visitors to Security & Safety and issue parking permits for students and staff.

Hourly Range:

Hourly Range: $18.2639 - $19.5424 (commensurate with experience)

Minimum Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or general equivalency and 3 years of work experience, OR an Associate degree

  • 4-6 years of job-related experience

  • Knowledge of Excel and Word

  • Ability to learn and work with software specific to the Office of Security and Safety.

  • Must be well organized and detail oriented.

  • Able to work independently.

  • Effective written and verbal communication skills; able to handle emergency situations in a calm and competent manner.

  • Professional interpersonal skills

  • Office administration training, skills, abilities.
