Coil Builder - 2nd shift

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE THE FOLLOWING. OTHER DUTIES MAY BE ASSIGNED

  • Identifies proper parts to complete assemblies by reading specification sheet.
  • Assembles parts to specification.
  • Builds frame; installs fins, tubes, hardware, and other purchased parts into coil body per specification
  • Correctly labels coils with build day and Mfg #.
  • Moves and repositions coils to the expansion area using cranes.
  • Completes appropriate paperwork to include quality sticker and daily hours.
  • Inspect coils for split collars, dented hairpins and damaged fins.
  • Reworks or disassembles coils that have been damaged or built incorrectly.
  • Utilizes basic hand tools such as pliers, wrenches and hand drills.
  • Trains new or existing employees, if necessary.
  • Cleans work area, machines, tools, and equipment.
  • Wears all required PPE.
  • Performs other routine duties.
  • Responsible for reporting work related injuries and near misses to supervision.
  • Responsible for wearing all required PPE and following applicable safety/environmental rules.
  • Responsible for correcting or reporting unsafe conditions observed within the plant.
  • Ability to add and subtract two digit numbers and to multiply and divide with 10's and 100's. Ability to read a tape measure. Ability to perform these operations using units of American money and weight measurement, volume and distance.
  • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out simple one-or two-step instructions. Ability to deal with standardized situations with only occasional or no variables.
  • While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is regularly required to use hands to finger, handle, or feel and reach with hands and arms. The employee is frequently required to stand and walk. The employee is occasionally required to climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl and talk or hear. The employee must regularly lift and /or move up to 20 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include Close vision, Peripheral vision, Depth perception and Ability to adjust focus. Those employees with forklift licenses will require distance vision.
