What you will do As a team member of the iMPACT Fly Team, you will be responsible for traveling to and assisting JCI Customers at all levels of building automation system programming, checkout and commissioning. This role is specific to large complex global customers that require a high degree of technical expertise, the ability to travel, an appreciation for process during the commissioning of a project as well as the ability to have an owner's mindset when it comes to the quality of work. This will include validating hardware and software commissioning activities for building automation systems. You will need to apply your advanced HVAC & Building Automation experience to work on assigned projects. You will work directly on multiple project teams to assist the Project Managers and Field Technicians. In addition, this role requires a sense of ownership and pride in supporting these large complex customers. PRINCIPAL DUTIES: 1. Loads system-level controller software. 2. Performs basic commissioning and system diagnostics from system-level controllers to end devices (e.g., sensors, actuators, etc.) and completes all required commissioning documentation. 3. Keeps management and JCI contractor or customer informed of job progress and issues. 4. Calibrates systems requiring basic electronic test equipment. 5. Completes administrative tasks including but not limited to time sheets, expense reports, and on-site documentation. 6. Documents change and provide information for as-built documentation. 7. Communicates with the JCI contractor or customer upon arrival and before leaving the work site. 8. Follows all safety standards and attends required safety training. High degree of regard to employee and subcontractor safety. REQUIREMENTS: Knowledge of mechanical HVAC systems Low voltage/120 volt wiring skills preferred A valid driver's license, with no major or frequent traffic violations Basic understanding of electrical circuitry as it pertains to HVAC controls and their operation. |
