JOB DESCRIPTION AND POSITION REQUIREMENTS: The Huck Institutes of the Life Sciences at Penn State University is seeking applications for a temporary worker in our CSL Behring Fermentation Facility to lead user training on our custom-built Sartorius 500 L fermenter.
Duties will include:
Lead a five-day training designed around inoculation of a live culture.
Provide user training on all basic operations of the SBD 500L as well as recipes, phases, and CIP cart functionality.
The successful candidate will have a Masters degree in the life sciences and more than 10 years experience in industrial microbiology/fermentation. A minimum of five years experience in the operation of our Sartorius 500 L fermenter is required.
