Job Summary

The IT Enterprise Architect III is responsible for best practices to design, implement, and manage our enterprise architecture. This role involves developing and maintaining an enterprise-wide architecture that aligns with our business goals, ensuring the efficient and effective use of IT resources. The Enterprise Architect III will provide technology guidance, road maps, principles, standards, and best practices. The Enterprise Architect III will collaborate with IT and Business stakeholders to understand business requirements, create architectural models, and provide strategic guidance to drive innovation and digital transformation.

This position is located in Tulsa, OK.

  • Provides overall direction, guidance, and definition of IT architecture to effectively support the corporate business strategy.
  • Serves as a resource and supports all architectural disciplines, championing architectural initiatives across the organization.
  • Develops and communicates architectural policies, standards, guidelines, and procedures to ensure consistency and compliance.
  • Promotes the EA process, outcomes, and results by communicating effectively with the organization and senior leadership.
  • Leads and facilitates the creation of governing principles to guide EA decision-making processes.
  • Leads the EA governance processes to ensure adherence to architectural standards and principles.
  • Manages exceptions to architectural standards, handling deviations at an enterprise level.
  • Reviews and/or analyzes and develops architectural requirements to ensure alignment with organizational needs.
  • Ensures the conceptual completeness of technical solutions, validating that solutions meet business and technical requirements.
  • Consults with project teams to align projects with enterprise architecture and identify necessary modifications.
  • Collaborates with project management and IT leaders to ensure progress towards architectural alignment with project goals and requirements.
  • Leads the EA review board in coordination with IT leadership, ensuring solutions are compliant with target-state architecture models and receive necessary approvals.
  • Works on highly complex projects that require in-depth knowledge across multiple specialized architecture domains.
  • Reviews existing business processes and leads programs to develop, maintain, and govern the enterprise architecture across the organization.
  • Serves as a resource for IT leadership and architecture teams in creating comprehensive EA documentation, while also being responsible for training and developing the architecture team to ensure continuous improvement and eventual self-sufficiency.
  • In coordination with IT leadership, leads modification of the enterprise architecture to accommodate project needs.
  • Develops a communication plan for architecture at the enterprise level to ensure clear and consistent messaging.
  • Conducts research and evaluation of emerging technology, industry, and market trends to keep the organization informed of relevant developments.
  • Performs additional responsibilities, as directed.


Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent job-related experience/knowledge.
  • 5+ years' enterprise architecture experience; previous IT construction experience is preferred.
  • Uses effective decision-making approaches such as consultative, command, or consensus. Differentiates assumptions, perspectives, and historical frameworks. Advises others in analyzing and synthesizing relevant data and assessing alternatives.
  • Streamlines the critical workflow for executing key processes. Sets priorities for addressing process problems that limit performance. Develops methods for improving and establishing controls for critical processes
  • Ability to discuss technical information with users, discern their needs and gather requirements and processes, while communicating in non-technical terminology.
  • Extensive knowledge in application and database management, infrastructure design, cybersecurity, and other relevant technologies. Ability to architect and implement comprehensive enterprise solutions that are scalable, secure, and efficient. Proven track record of integrating diverse technologies to support business objectives and enhance operational performance. Strong understanding of emerging technologies and their potential impact on enterprise architecture.
  • Leadership experience in managing multiple, large, cross-functional teams or projects, and influencing senior level management and key stakeholders.
  • Ability to maintain confidential information in a discreet manner.
  • Customer-service focused and friendly.
  • Effective communication skills (written and verbal) with attention to detail. Develops a clear, complete understanding of needs and problems through careful listening, probing, reflecting, and summarizing. Conducts discussions that are sincere and fully expressed.
  • Learn and adapt quickly, work and remain calm under pressure.


Physical/Special Requirements

  • This position will require working outside of normal business hours.
  • Occasional travel will be required.
