Summary:
The MRI Supervisor is a Radiologic Technologist who is ARRT certified in MRI. The Supervisor is responsible for the coordination and daily operations of the MRI Department. The MRI Supervisor will oversee the training of new employees and supervise work flow and staffing according to volume demands. The MRI Supervisor is responsible to assist in the development and implementation of quality imaging standards, safety protocols, procedure protocols and scheduling protocols. The MRI Supervisor works in conjunction with the Radiologists, VP of Ancillary Services and Radiology Director to meet the general goals and mission statement of SMHC.

Required Minimum Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs)

  1. Education: See "License/Certifications"
  2. License/Certifications: Completion of a certificate or degree course of study specifically in Radiologic Technology is preferred. ARRT certificate to perform as a Radiologic Technologist required. ARRT certificate for MRI required. CPR certification required.
  3. Experience: Minimum of five years' previous MRI experience on a full time basis. Three years of proven supervisory experience preferred.
  4. Teaching ability required.
  5. Participates in continuing education and maintains knowledge through appropriate technical journals, in-services and educational programs in order to maintain and enhance expertise.
  6. Must have strong interpersonal skills.
  7. Excellent written and oral communication skills required.
