AESC is looking to add a Financing & Debt Management Manager to our team in Santa Clara, CA

AESC's Tennessee gigafactory in Smyrna, which has been operational and supplying electric vehicle batteries for the Nissan LEAF since 2012, was retooled in 2025 and now produces batteries for Energy Storage Systems. The South Carolina gigafactory in Florence will supply next generation cells for BMW starting in 2026. This individual will be responsible for managing project financing in place for US and Europe regions. This would include communication with lenders and lenders' representatives / advisors on debt related matters, as well as coordination with internal stakeholders to ensure alignment of internal milestones with external communications made to lenders. This individual could also be involved with evaluation of new financing and re-financing options as applicable to the US and Europe regions.

Position Responsibilities Will Include, But Are Not Limited To

• Communication with lenders and lenders' representatives on all matters related to existing project financing arrangements;
• Coordination with internal teams (e.g. project team, construction team, operations team, finance & accounting team) and key suppliers to provide information to lenders required for debt drawdown, periodic reporting, covenant compliance monitoring etc.;
• Ongoing monitoring funding plan via project financing drawdowns vs equity, provide regular inputs to global cash planning process and execute funding plan along with the Treasury team;
• Ongoing monitoring of financing related hedges (interest rate swaps and FX hedges) and perform settlement and/or adjustments on a timely manner;
• Internal management reporting of performance against financial model, perform gap analysis and be pre-emptive with potential deviation and recommend solutions to mitigate risk of non-compliance matters;
• Maintain debt compliance and monitoring checklists, schedules, and other reporting required to enable efficient and effective reporting externally and internally;
• Prepare forecast for interest expense and communicate such forecasts and related variance to support Corporate FP&A team in the corporate planning process;
• Collaborate with accounting team to ensure proper accounting of financing and hedge related activities;
• Develop existing and create new lender/investor relationships to fund project pipeline.
• Conduct complex financial analysis to determine financing feasibility and options of potential projects;
• Any other duties, as assigned.

This role offers between $132,000-$166,000/year base salary plus full benefits.

• 5+ years experience in project financing and/or debt management, preferably in the renewable energy, EV or battery manufacturing industry;
• Bachelor's Degree in Finance/Business or a related field; MBA desired;
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills;
• Ability to work independently and to engage with different internal and external stakeholders to drive efforts to the desired outcome;
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Proficiency in financial modeling and data analysis tools (e.g., Excel, ERP systems);
