Lubbock Director - Assessment & Accountability 40269BR TTU K12 District Admin Position Description Directs, plans, coordinates and supervises the operations and activities of a specialized unit or small department; develops and implements policies and procedures, administers the budget, organizes tasks and sets priorities. Serves as liaison with university personnel and community at large. Works under general supervision with broad latitude for initiative and independent judgement. About the Department and/or College Texas Tech University K-12, a unit of the Texas Tech University Online division, is a state-approved online kindergarten through 12th-grade school that has been meeting students' needs for more than 25 years. Major/Essential Functions
In-depth knowledge of Texas Education Agency (TEA) accountability standards, state testing requirements, Understanding of curriculum alignment with state standards to ensure that assessments accurately measure educational objectives. Knowledge of state and federal education policies, Proficient in conveying complex data in an understandable way to stakeholders and administrators, High degree of accuracy in reporting data and tracking accountability measures to ensure compliance and meet quality standards, Flexibility to adapt to new state requirements, testing formats, and changes in accountability standards, and Commitment to using assessment data to drive improvements in instructional practices, student outcomes, and school performance. Required Qualifications Bachelor's degree in related area required plus five years progressively responsible management experience. Additional education may substitute for experience on a year for year basis. Preferred Qualifications Master's degree from accredited university (Instructional Leadership/Principal preferred), Valid Texas teaching certificate, experience in assessment and accountability, research, education administration, or a related field, including a minimum of five years in a leadership or supervisory role in a Texas public school.
