What You Will Do as a Demand Planning Analyst:

The Demand Planning Analyst plays a critical role in forecasting demand, optimizing inventory levels, and supporting supply chain efficiency. This position is responsible for analyzing historical sales data, market trends, and customer insights to develop accurate demand forecasts that drive production and inventory planning. The analyst will collaborate with cross-functional teams, including sales, marketing, supply chain, and finance, to align forecasts with business objectives and improve forecast accuracy.

How You Will Make a Difference:

  • Provide and maintain operational demand forecast based on customer requirements (such as account level, style level, size level) based on gathering inputs from cross-functional partners and applying historic trending analysis and insights.
  • Prepare and facilitate monthly consensus demand forecast meetings with Business Leadership, Sales, Finance, and Merchandising with focus on reaching short-term and long-term demand forecast to drive operational planning activities.
  • Collaborate with supply planning and procurement teams to ensure alignment between demand forecasts and inventory strategies.
  • Utilize data analytics tools (e.g., Excel, Power BI, Logility, Kinaxis, o9) to track demand trends and forecast accuracy as well as conduct root cause analysis and implement corrective actions
  • Support line rationalization decisions through analysis of demand trends and SKU optimization.
  • Identify opportunities to improve demand planning processes and implement best practices.
  • Ensure demand planning models are continuously refined and updated based on real-time business insights.
  • Perform analytical activities to support supply/demand matching and partner with key stakeholders on action plans to optimize product flow and fulfillment to customer.
  • Provide reporting to monitor and communicate KPIs.

Skills for Success:

  • Years of Related Professional Experience: 3-5 years
  • Bachelor's Degree in Business or related field, or equivalent work experience
  • Experience in finance, planning, or operations
  • Self-starter with ability to work independently as well as collaborate cross-functionally and with various levels of organization
  • Excellent communication skills (written, oral, and presentation)
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent analytical skills and ability to develop and articulate insights and findings
  • High proficiency in MS Excel and high learning agility for systems and tools (Logility, PowerBI, Kinaxis, o9, SQL a plus)
  • Detail-oriented mindset with a focus on continuous improvement.
