Requisition ID# 163600 Job Category: Administrative / Clerical Job Level: Individual Contributor Business Unit: Electric Engineering Work Type: Hybrid Job Location: Oakland Integrated Grid Planning Solutions Intern Department Overview Integrated Grid Planning (IGP) develops 10-year optimized workplans for PG&E's Electric organization. Holistic, data-driven, methods are used to conduct asset and system level analysis on current and future grid needs. The solutions to these grid needs are then developed and packaged in 10-year optimized workplans. IGP works in close alignment with various asset managers, asset owners, engineering and operations and analytics teams. IGP develops integrated workplans that maximize value to our customers, and simultaneously maximize grid reliability, safety and resilience all while building the grid of the future. Position Summary The Integrated Grid Planning Solutions Internship position is located within the Integrated Grid Planning (IGP) organization. You will have an opportunity to take a deep dive into our vast electric system, understand our assets, their needs and the frameworks under which they operate. You will run data analytics and develop models to help address these needs. You will create interactive reports and dashboards that will help us make various business decisions. You will also have an opportunity to engage with our partners inside and outside of PG&E. PG&E is providing the hourly rate range that the company in good faith believes it might pay for this position at the time of the job posting. This compensation range is specific to the locality of the job. The actual hourly rate paid to an individual will be based on multiple factors, including, but not limited to, specific skills, education, licenses or certifications, experience, market value, geographic location, and internal equity. The hourly rate for a bachelor's degree ranges from $24.52 to $29.81 and for a master's degree is $35.37. Responsibilities As an IGP Solutions Intern, you will be supporting the IGP team with a variety of initiatives, from data analysis to industry engagement. You will work closely with a team of engineers and help develop the IGP Solutions products. A background in Electrical Engineering and power systems is highly desired. In your role, you will:
