What a day in the life of a Painter at REV looks like:

You will be responsible for all aspects of paint repair, including:

  • Body work (Bondo application)
  • Buffing and glazing
  • DA (dual action) sanding
  • Paint spraying
  • Spot blending

Required education, skills and experiences to be successful:

  • Perform paint repairs, including dent, scratch, and hole patching
  • Prep products for final paint application
  • Sand and/or mask products before painting
  • Clean and inspect products for quality finish
  • Operate paint-related tools and equipment, including:
  • DA sander
  • Orbital buffer
  • Paint spray gun
  • Cordless screw gun
  • Pneumatic grinder
  • Maintain a fast-paced workflow while ensuring high-quality standards
  • Work collaboratively within a team atmosphere
  • Assist in other areas of the paint department as needed

Required Skills and Experience:

  • Minimum 2 years of experience in automotive paint repair
  • Strong knowledge of base coat/clear coat paint systems (experience with Sikkens/Akzo Nobel is a plus)
  • Ability to use common hand and power tools for paint applications
  • Attention to detail and precision in achieving an acceptable paint finish
  • Ability to communicate and follow directions in English

  • Ability to work 10+ hours in extreme heat/cold
  • Ability to climb ladders and work at various heights
  • Must pass a spirometry test (lung function test for respirator use)
  • Ability to operate and understand all protective safety equipment in the area
  • Willingness to work overtime as needed
