About the role: This is an entry level role requiring proficiency with Microsoft Office Applications and the ability to learn and master multiple FIS products and systems. Generally performing multiple tasks ranging from simple to more complex levels of research and support while working independently with minimal supervision. Consult with senior peers on more-complex tasks to learn through experience. Typically requires up to one year experience. SQL experience is a plus.

About the team: This is a Professional level position as a Fraud Prevention Analyst 1 working with the FIS Fraud Consulting Desk. This team is client-facing and provides excellent service to our issuing customers while serving as an expert to our financial institution customers on all topics related to our fraud monitoring service and products, researching and responding to questions, as well as analyzing authorization data and writing rules to mitigate fraud in real time. We additionally support and work with other internal business partners to determine present and future client needs and discuss progress toward solutions.

What you will be doing:

In this role, you will be responsible for:

  • Provides excellent service to our financial institution issuing customers, serving as an expert contact for all matters related to prepaid, debit, and credit card fraud. Client inquiries can be received via client portal or phone.
  • Review authorization activity, performing data analysis to identify commonalities in fraud trends and creating efficient rules targeting fraudulent activity while minimizing impact to cardholders.
  • Performs research to fully respond to and answer client inquiries around our services, tools and other questions related to fraud. The perfect candidate for this position will always place client service and satisfaction at the forefront of all they do., and while overtime is never required as a team player one should be flexible enough to put in over time if volumes dictate.
  • Works with various internal and external clients and various departments to resolve outstanding issues, comply with customer requests, and respond to client inquiries.
  • Interfaces with clients to determine present and future needs and discusses progress toward solutions.

What you bring:

  • An initiative-taker with proven ability to work independently resolving client inquiries, other tasks, and demonstrating initiative when other issues are identified, escalating to the right area, and Management when needed.
  • Excellent oral and written communications skills
  • Organizational and time management skills required with the ability to multi-task and manage multiple priorities, identifying and treating those that should be treated with urgency as such.
  • Strong analytic skills
  • Extremely comfortable working with computers and a variety of applications
  • Required work hours:40 (no weekends/no travel)
  • Overtime required: N (But the right candidate would be flexible when volumes dictate) required but should be willing if volumes dictate.
