Job Description

Overview

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Partner Product Manager to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the strategic partners in our API Partner Programs and product management for features and functionalities jointly developed. This role requires a strategic thinker with excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with various stakeholders. The role is part of the broader Global Commercial Card Products and Platforms team, which is responsible for all cardable solutions for businesses and public sector entities globally. The new API Partner Program facilitates fintech partnerships requires the Product Manager to be working with the strategic partners in solving for B2B payments needs by providing innovative payment and value-added services to financial institutions that support these businesses, corporations and governments.

Responsibilities

Strategic Partners

  • Oversee the specific partners who participate in our API Partner Programs, ensuring successful deployment, adoption with Visa clients and growth to achieve program goals.
  • Responsible for product management and working with partners to develop product integrations, strong customer value proposition, support go to market and commercialization strategies that drive program success.
  • Monitor program performance and provide regular updates to senior management.
  • Identify opportunities for improvement and implement strategies to enhance program effectiveness.
  • Responsible for the day-to-day management of partners which includes monitoring and tracking revenue generation from Visa customers and managing invoicing and payments to partners

Partner Management

  • Support partner's integration to Visa, the product development phase and post-development launch activities such as building joint product collateral and go-to-market strategies.
  • Offer stakeholder support to ensure partner satisfaction and program success.
  • Collaborate with partners in pre-development work, including supporting solution design teams and implementation and product manager responsible for conducting risk assessments necessary for new features and functionalities.

Cross-functional Collaboration

  • Engage with partners early in the process to align on objectives and ensure smooth execution across sales, solution, product and technology teams.
  • Work closely with internal teams, including product development, marketing, and sales, to ensure alignment and successful program execution.
  • Facilitate communication between partners and internal stakeholders to address any issues or concerns promptly.
  • Provide insights and feedback to product development teams based on partner interactions and market trends.

Performance Monitoring and Reporting

  • Track and analyze program performance metrics to identify trends and areas for improvement.
  • Prepare and present detailed reports on program performance to senior management.
  • Ensure that all programs meet or exceed established performance targets and KPIs.

This is a hybrid position. Expectation of days in office will be confirmed by your hiring manager.

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications

8 or more years of relevant work experience with a Bachelor Degree or at least 5 years of experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD) or 2 years of work experience with a PhD

Preferred Qualifications

9 or more years of relevant work experience with a Bachelor Degree or 7 or more relevant years of experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD) or 3 or more years of experience with a PhD

*Bachelor's degree in business, marketing, or a related field. A master's degree or an Advanced Degree (e.g. MBA, JD, MD) is preferred.

*Minimum of 5 years of experience in product management or partner management, preferably in the software or technology industry.

*Strong understanding of Business-to-Business payments and experience with working with payment service providers.

*Strong knowledge of Visa's API products and capabilities, as well as the fintech and issuer landscape and needs.

*Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain strong relationships with partners and stakeholders.

*Proven track record of successfully managing complex projects and programs.

*Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to make data-driven decisions.

*Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a proactive and results-oriented approach.

*Strong knowledge of Visa's API products and capabilities, as well as the fintech and issuer landscape and needs.

Preferred Skills

*Must have experience working and presenting to client, such as issuer and financial technology providers in a consultative nature

*Sharp analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to details

*Experience with risk assessment and solution design in a pre-development context.

*Knowledge of the software/technology industry and market trends.

*Demonstrated expertise/power user in MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Access, and Word) and experience with MS Office Access.

Additional Information

Work Hours: Varies upon the needs of the department.

Travel Requirements: This position requires travel5-10% of the time.

Mental/Physical Requirements: This position will be performed in an office setting. The position will require the incumbent to sit and stand at a desk, communicate in person and by telephone, frequently operate standard office equipment, such as telephones and computers.

U.S. APPLICANTS ONLY: The estimated salary range for a new hire into this position is 143,200.00 to 207,800.00 USD per year, which may include potential sales incentive payments (if applicable). Salary may vary depending on job-related factors which may include knowledge, skills, experience, and location. In addition, this position may be eligible for bonus and equity.
