The Communications Manager is responsible for overseeing the implementation of internal communication strategies. Their duties include leading a communications team, managing and writing copy for communication channels such as the organization's intranet, newsletters, and emails and adhering to the organization's brand. The Communication Manager is responsible for organizational and creative tasks to standardize and improve the communication efforts of the organization. They have a strong entrepreneurial spirit and can quickly pivot from project to project and maintain strong communication skills, and is a solid manager of people, projects, and ideas.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:



  • Lead a team of communication specialists to execute on the organization's communication strategies; providing coaching, feedback and guidance for optimal performance, all while leading with a sense of urgency and a flexible mindset within a highly dynamic environment, delivering on deadlines.
  • Collaborate with senior leaders, teammates, and business partners to identify the internal voice of the brand.
  • Consult with senior leaders and business partners to develop effective communication strategies that drive and engage a high-performance, customer-focused culture.
  • Create style guides and brand voice outlines (storyboards) for internal communications channels.
  • Internal communications related to organizational updates, changes, and newsworthy topics.
  • Develop materials to educate leaders and associates on communication practices.
  • Perform communications research and monitor the progress of various communications strategies.
  • Evaluate the effectiveness of communications informed by regular reporting and analysis of usage, readership, and engagement.


QUALIFICATIONS:



  • Bachelor's Degree in a related field.
  • Prefer a master's degree with a concentration in communications, human resources management, business administration, or related discipline.
  • Minimum of 7-10 years cutting edge, communications experience in a rapidly growing, complex organization.
  • Ability to travel as needed within the Seacoast Bank footprint
  • Demonstrated knowledge of communications best practices.
  • A proven track record of communications program and process development and management.
  • Agile in the use of communication processes, systems, tools, and technology as well as philosophy and approach.
  • Excellent leadership skills.
  • Expertise in strategy development and execution.
  • Leadership presence and intellectual agility to gain immediate credibility with the leadership team, HR and business partners.
  • Able to assess communication needs, identify opportunities, and suggest and implement solutions.
  • PC proficiency in desktop, laptop, tablet, and smartphone devices as well as Microsoft Office Suite software; instructional design software proficiency is a plus.
