We're currently seeking candidates for a Director of Accounting who will play a critical role in ensuring the accuracy and integrity of our financial statements and supporting Informatica's growth to join our team in Redwood City, CA. Job Summary As our Director of Accounting, you will be responsible for preparing and reviewing accurate and timely financial statements. The ideal candidate must be able to work and adapt in a fluid, fast-paced environment and you must have strong technical, communication, collaboration, and management skills. What You'll Do
- Key leader in preparing and reviewing accurate and timely financial statements by managing the month, quarter and year-end close activities
- Oversee various aspects of our accounting operations, including US GL accounting, consolidations, accounts payable, fixed assets, cash management, US payroll, etc.
- Review journal entries, account reconciliations and P&L trend analysis to propose adjustments and explain variances
- Assist with annual audits and quarterly reviews by working closely with the SEC reporting team and the external auditors
- Maintain and improve internal controls to ensure compliance with SOX requirements
- Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including revenue, SEC reporting, tax, treasury, legal, FP&A, etc.
- Assist in the implementation and ongoing improvement of accounting systems and processes
- Lead and mentor a high-performing team of 10+ accounting professionals, including providing guidance, training, and performance feedback
- Assist with special projects and ad-hoc requests as needed
Key Essentials
- Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance
- 10 years of operational accounting experience in the SaaS industry
- 5 years management / supervisory experience
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and advanced Excel skills
- Excellent communications and problem-solving skills
- Attention to detail and accuracy, and ability to drive process improvement
What We'd Like To See
- CPA certification or Big 4 experience is preferred
- Experience in consolidation accounting, including intercompany eliminations and foreign currency translations Experience with ERP systems mainly, NetSuite, and other accounting software.
- Experience with ERP systems, such as Oracle Cloud, and other accounting and financial reporting software
- A hands-on people manager to inspire and motivate the team, including direct and indirect reports
- Ability to manage multiple deliverables with sense of urgency and proven record to meet deadlines
