Your Opportunity as an Engineering Lead (Industrial Maintenance Lead) Directly responsible for assisting the Engineering department with the assignment and coordination and/or execution of activities within the Engineering group to ensure a productive workforce that supports the facility. Oversee planning and preparation of work orders for work to be performed by the respective engineers to ensure the plant is maintained in a safe, reliable, and efficient manner. Location: 2929 N. Shadeland Ave, Indianapolis, IN 46219 (Hostess Manufacturing Plant) Work Arrangements: 100% on-site, 3rd Shift Tuesday-Saturday 10pm-6am (Flexibility required.) Determine schedules, sequences, and assignments for work activities, based on work priority, quantity of equipment and skill of personnel. Monitor employees' work levels and review work performance. Monitor tool and part inventories and the condition and maintenance of shops to ensure adequate working conditions. Counsel employees about work-related issues and assist employees to correct job-skill deficiencies. Conduct or arrange for worker training in safety, repair, and maintenance techniques, operational procedures, or equipment use. Inspect and monitor work areas, examine tools and equipment, and provide employee safety training to prevent, detect, and correct unsafe conditions or violations of procedures and safety rules. Inspect, test, and measure completed work, using devices such as hand tools and gauges to verify conformance to standards and repair requirements. Requisition materials and supplies, such as tools, equipment, and replacement parts. Perform skilled repair and maintenance operations, using equipment such as hand and power tools, hydraulic presses and shears, and welding equipment. Effectively oversee maintenance personnel to ensure that all assigned activities are performed effectively and efficiently in accordance with plant procedures and local, state, and federal regulations. Oversee preparation of work instructions that provide direction to the Engineering Department for corrective maintenance repairs, performance of preventive maintenance and the implementation of modifications. Requires high school diploma, or equivalent. 2 years minimum of experience in a manufacturing environment. 2 years minimum of industrial maintenance experience Ability to troubleshoot equipment to ensure optimum efficiency and product quality Effective oral and written communication skills and the ability to train others Personal Computer Skills - Literate with MS Excel, Word.

Additional post-secondary education is preferred (i.e.: Technical of Vocational education) in areas of industrial engineering. Prefer previous safety training Training in electrical, hydraulics, pneumatics preferred Industrial electricity courses, welding, PLC, pneumatic or other mechanic courses extremely desirable.
Work Environment: This job operates in a manufacturing environment. The noise level in the work environment and manufacturing sites can be high. Physical Demands:
Regularly required to talk and hear. Frequently required to stand; walk; use hands and fingers to handle or feel; and reach with hands and arms. Occasionally required to sit; climb or balance; and stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl. Able to lift objects up to 50 pounds frequently. May push and pull heavy trash carts, dough carts, portable equipment, and catch pans. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
