About This Position: This position is part of Extension's Human Development and Relationships Institute. The Institute promotes the development of resilient individuals, families, and communities across Wisconsin and at every stage of life through meaningful partnerships and research-based education. This position has a primary focus on family engagement and relationships. It will deliver and evaluate educational programs and resources for parents and caregivers related to healthy child development, positive parenting, and resilient families. The position will also strengthen the skillsets of family-serving professionals, including the early care and education workforce, by providing training that count towards their continuing education. It will foster community readiness and capacity to support children, parents, and families by building and strengthening coalitions and leading networks of professionals within their counties and across Wisconsin.
This position has a secondary focus on financial education which could include improving the financial capability of all county residents, with a specific emphasis on older adults, youth, low-income, and under-served groups, giving local residents the tools to create comprehensive end-of-life plans, providing education for first-time renters and those with negative rental records through our Rent Smart program with a focus on survivors of domestic violence, training for community service providers on how to empower their clients with money management skills and one-on-one financial coaching.
The successful candidate will be tasked with maintaining a partnership with St. Croix County's Health and Human Services Division, generating a referral system and then delivering programming to clients who qualify for services.

Responsibilities:
Delivers and assists with planning outreach program activities, strengthens partnerships, ensures adherence to policy, and assists with program administration to promote stable and productive relationships between the university and local community. Strives to expand and ensure access to programs, facilities, and educational services to diverse audiences. May assist with tracking and managing the outreach program budget.
- 10% Identifies, promotes, and maintains external partnerships to support the outreach program
- 10% Schedules and secures resources and communicates logistics in support of an outreach program
- 30% Delivers outreach program content and materials to community members
- 25% Researches, develops, and facilitates outreach program content and materials
- 5% Develops and evaluates curriculum and programs and provides recommendations for improvement
- 5% May assist with the monitoring of outreach program budget spending
- 5% Leads the implementation of programs, policies, and procedures through oversight of day-to-day activities for program staff and student and community volunteers
- 10% Communicate plans, activities and achievements to Area Extension Director, Program Managers, partners, and relevant stakeholders

Education:
Required Bachelor's Degree in a related field.
Qualifications:
Required: - At least two years of experience relevant to the educational programming and service delivery of the position; - Demonstrated experience developing effective partnerships or coalitions with community partners and local governments; - Strong interpersonal skills and demonstrated ability to build and maintain professional work environments; - Experience managing multiple tasks, timelines, and schedules while maintaining high quality work; - Ability to communicate effectively using a variety of methods and technology; - Demonstrated ability to effectively work with people from a wide range of backgrounds and perspectives
Preferred: - At least five years of work or lived experience relevant to the programmatic responsibilities of the position. - Demonstrated success in developing, delivering, and evaluating educational programs for diverse audiences utilizing a variety of educational techniques, methods, and modes. - Demonstrated skill in interpreting, utilizing, and applying evidence-based information and research findings to the benefit of children, parents and their families.

It is anticipated this position requires work be performed in-person, onsite, at a designated campus work location.
Appointment Type, Duration:
Terminal, 9 month appointment. This position has the possibility to be extended or converted to an ongoing appointment based on need and/or funding
Salary:

Additional Information:
- The primary accountability relationship for this position is the Area 5 Area Extension Director (AED) for supervision, compensation and benefits, and performance reviews. - This position's primary programming focus is St. Croix County; however, some programming may also be conducted over a broader geographical area. - It is expected that employees will make individual arrangements for transportation adequate to meet position responsibilities and essential job functions.
