Position Description:
Prepare quarterly financial statements, utilize parent company financial reporting system and assist with accounting staff management.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

*Analyze balance sheet accounts to support preparation of financial statements for both IFRS & GAAP standards.
*Prepare quarterly and year end annotated balance sheets per IFRS & GAAP standards for Turner Corporation and Turner Construction.
*Prepare cash flow analysis to support financial statements.
*Review joint venture accounting, analysis of investment and earnings roll forwards as well as new joint venture agreements for proper accounting treatment.
*Review bank reconciliations and account analysis prepared by headquarters accountants.
*Prepare and analyze quarterly forecasts and financial statements for parent company and corresponding input of forecasts and actuals into parent company financial reporting system.
*Assist in management of accounting staff.
*Review and post journal entries.
*Other activities, duties, and responsibilities as assigned.

Qualifications:

*Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or related field, and 5 years related experience or an equivalent combination of education and/or experience
*CPA with combination of public and private accounting experience preferred
*Construction industry experience preferred
*Experience preparing financial statements with footnote disclosures
*Supervisory or management of small team preferred
*Strong understanding of accounting principles and company policies, ability to educate and enforce policies
*Ability to read and understand financial reports
*Analytic ability to review and assess financial data, interpret trends, and recognize inconsistencies
*Apply critical thinking to manage through complex decisions and judgments
*Display actions related to profitability and risk management and effectively communicate issues
*Exercises independent judgment and discretion with proven analytic and decision making abilities
*Applies innovation to offer and implement suggestions to improve overall operations
*Ability to simultaneously manage many activities, requests, and short-cycle deadlines
*Advanced proficiency of financial system applications, SAP and Textura experience, and advanced MS Excel skills
*High degree of organizational skills with exceptional attention to detail
*Self-motivated, adaptable and flexible to operate with minimal direction and supervision while working in complex and changing environment
*Lead by example and set standards for performance and behavior; act with integrity and professionalism; strong dedication to teamwork
*Professional written and verbal communication skills

salary range for New York City candidates for this position is estimated
to be $112,260 - $140,265 annualized.
