This opportunity is in the Information Technology Department.

Role Description:

In the role of EDI Intake Analyst I, you will be part of the Data Management Job Family within the Information Services Department. You will work closely with third-party administrators (TPAs), business users, vendors, and internal stakeholders to ensure data integrity and quality. Your contributions will drive continuous improvements in data intake, quality, and analytics, enhancing Safety National's ability to make informed business decisions.

Your day-to-day responsibilities as an EDI Intake Analyst I will include:



  • Receiving, analyzing, and validating electronic data interchange (EDI) from external sources.
  • Ensuring the integrity of data within databases and data warehouses for reporting and analytical purposes.
  • Identifying and resolving data quality issues while implementing long-term solutions.
  • Working with TPAs, business users, and vendors to enhance service levels on existing and new data feeds.
  • Communicating with external partners to ensure accurate and timely receipt of data.
  • Conducting data quality audits and providing recommendations for improvement.
  • Troubleshooting data import issues and implementing solutions efficiently.
  • Developing data quality monitoring reports, alerts, and processes to ensure compliance with data standards.
  • Benchmarking and improving data quality across all sources.

  • Collaborative, able to work effectively with diverse business and technical personnel.
  • A strong communicator, able to translate technical insights into actionable recommendations.
  • Able to manage multiple projects and priorities, switching seamlessly between tasks.


Some of the essential skills required in this role include:



  • SQL proficiency to query relational databases.
  • Experience in data analysis, reconciliation, and validation.
  • Ability to troubleshoot EDI and data integrity issues.
  • Strong organizational and project management skills.


Prior experience with data management tools, reporting software, and EDI applications is preferred.

Qualifications:



  • Education: A Bachelor's degree in a related field is required.
  • Experience: Minimum of 2 years of experience in an Information Technology, Data Analytics or Finance industry.


  • Required Skills & Experience:


    • Ability to query and analyze relational databases using SQL.
    • Experience in extracting, reconciling, and analyzing large data sets.
    • Proven ability to manage multiple projects and prioritize effectively.
    • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
    • Hands-on approach to data quality initiatives.
    • Ability to exercise independent judgment.


  • Must be authorized to work in the U.S. without requiring work authorization sponsorship now or in the future.


Preferred Qualifications:



  • Experience with data quality monitoring tools and automation.
  • Familiarity with EDI standards and processes.
  • Knowledge of business intelligence and reporting tools.

Compensation for the successful candidate will consider the candidate's particular combination of knowledge, skills, competencies, experience and geographic location.
