About the Role:

Invoca seeks an experienced communications professional for a 6-month contractor position to lead our PR program and spearhead the launch of a new podcast initiative. As we continue to strengthen our position in the revenue execution space for B2C marketing, sales, and contact center teams, you'll drive both earned and paid media strategies to amplify our market presence. This role combines traditional external communications with multimedia content development, while also exploring strategic sponsorship opportunities that align with our brand and revenue goals. This role reports to Invoca's Sr. Director of Corporate Marketing and works closely with leads across content marketing, analyst relations, internal communications, website, and more. Additionally, this role will align with product marketing, customer marketing, demand generation, sales, and executives to craft compelling narratives that elevate the Invoca brand.

This high-impact role offers a unique opportunity to blend traditional PR expertise with digital media project management, helping shape Invoca's voice as the leader in the B2C revenue execution platform market.

PR & Communications Program



  • Drive day-to-day PR activities and media relations
  • Grow and maintain relationships with key media, journalists, and influencers to align on story ideas and secure coverage
  • Drive point on existing executive thought leadership byeline program
  • Develop communications strategies for product launches and company announcements
  • Identify and secure main-stage speaking opportunities at premier industry events,
  • Lead awards program strategy to validate Invoca's technology innovation and highlight customer success stories
  • Amplify executive thought leadership across social, video, and content channels
  • Identify and execute strategic paid media placements and sponsored content opportunities to amplify Invoca's message in targeted industry publications and digital channels
  • Develop and manage sponsor relationships for high-visibility industry events, creating integrated programs that maximize ROI across speaking opportunities, booth presence, and content collaboration


Podcast Launch & Management



  • Own end-to-end podcast development, from concept to execution
  • Develop production timeline, episode planning, and guest coordination
  • Manage relationships with production partners and internal stakeholders
  • Create a promotional strategy to drive audience growth
  • Establish metrics and reporting framework for podcast success


You Have:



  • 8+ years of PR and/or marketing communications experience leading communications for B2B/B2C tech companies
  • Proven track record of creating impactful and measurable communications campaigns
  • Managing multiple projects simultaneously and work autonomously with guidance from broader teams
  • Excellent writing skills and experience writing for global audiences across various channels
  • Ability to fluidly navigate between strategy and execution (can develop high-level strategic plans and also produce crisp, clear communications that drive results)
  • Attention to the micro details while driving key project management
  • Experience working cross-functionally and communicating with all roles, departments, and levels of seniority of the organization


Essential Skills:



  • Proficiency in project management software (e.g., Asana or similar)
  • Experience with podcast production management systems, podcast analytics platforms
  • Strong understanding of content calendars and editorial planning tools and workflows
  • Proficiency in LinkedIn and other business-centric social platforms


Desirable Traits:



  • Success in building and implementing thought leadership strategies for executives (lean in on LinkedIn/social media networks)
  • Talents in turning complex information into relevant, engaging, and valuable narratives that drive urgency among a diverse set of audiences
  • Genuine passion for great storytelling that pulls at the heartstrings and makes stories stick.


The role requires someone who can operate independently while managing multiple stakeholders - those needing constant supervision or struggling with competing priorities would not be a fit. Additionally, since this position interfaces with executives and requires quick turnaround on high-visibility communications, candidates must have strong writing skills and attention to detail - we cannot accommodate those who need multiple revisions or extensive editing support.

Given the fast-paced nature of PR and podcast production, the ability to think critically and make sound decisions under pressure is a must.
